Dr. Anas Alkhatib is an insightful, attentive psychiatrist treating patients in Atlanta and the greater Georgia area. He comes with great expertise in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. His primary goal as a practitioner is to tailor a treatment plan that relieves your suffering and addresses your needs.
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common childhood disorders and can continue through adolescence and adulthood. Symptoms include difficulty staying focused and paying attention, difficulty controlling behavior, and hyperactivity (over-activity). ADHD is more common in males than females.

Young Mind Psychiatry has saved my life. Mark is fantastic! I feel very comfortable communicating with him about my medications. I have complex-PTSD and finally stable. My son sees Mark as well for his PTSD and ADHD. Mark is a lot of fun with my now 13 year old. We've been getting care here for over 3 years now.

Wish I could give no Star !!!!!!This place was a waste of my son's time and my money/ insurance 😒. My son was up there for 7 days he didn't receive his meds until the 5th day of being in the hospital. He said it was awful. He was very angry while there. He said the staff don't listen to anything you say. The mht folks was always trying to intimidate him so he ended up getting a shot. They don't answer the freaking phones when you call. Then if they do they put you on hold for 15 to 20 minutes. I will never take him back there ever.....

Train wreck. Haven’t had my critical medication in nearly 3 weeks - this is because whenever I schedule an appointment, Young Minds states they’ll give you a code to join an online meeting, yet not once have I received one throughout my 5+ attempts to get my medication. The few times I have been able to contact them, the psychiatrists have been over 20 minutes late to the meetings; with an extremely busy college schedule, I had to go to classes by the time they were ready. Young minds has brought me far more mental stress than relief and I would recommend going elsewhere if you need a psychiatrist

I left a review already but since times have changed with the virus I’ll leave another one. The girls at the front desk are working super hard and need a shout out. I can’t make it to my appointments sometimes but they always make sure I get my refills and one review I read made me realize that MARK BLOCKER is the only actually good psychiatrist or whatever he is there I’ve been to Bethany and the other woman and they’re god awful. They’re actually pretty sexist I know weird the women being sexist and not the man. Anyways. Mark.Has.Saved.My.Life. Not directly of corse but by listening

I love this practice. My son is a patient here and has received excellent service for his bipolar disorder. His condition is challenging, and Dr. Alkhatib and his entire staff at the practice and in-house at Peachford Hospital have gone above and beyond for his well-being. While the providers on this practice are extremely kind and attentive, the only truly qualified provider in the practice is the PA Mark Blocker. The others are too young and inexperienced and honestly not well-versed enough in the world of mental health to effectively tackle true mental health issues. The office staff is less than abismal and trying to get medications refilled is an absolute nightmare. My daughter and I have actually run out of our meds several times due to the fact that the office refuses to return phone calls or accurately refill medications in a timely manner. Find another practiceâ€

I love everyone at Young minds Psychiatry. They work really well together as a team to make sure that patients needs are met. I was very blessed to have found this office upon moving to Georgia. Jessica, whom works at the front desk does an amazing job of going above and beyond meeting patients expectations and makes the check in/check out process a very smooth and easy process.
