My educational attorney told me to set up an appointment to meet with Mr. Pratt. I knew of Mr. Pratt already from my stepsons case and have met him a number of times before. I filled out all the online forms and sent everything that was requested over on Box as well. I received emails with confirmation of the appointment and a change of appointment to a sooner date by Mr. Pratt. During this time I was using my name I have always used with him. The student name was my child's on the forms with myself listed as the parent. When I arrived for the appointment, Mr. Pratt was completely unprofessional

I first heard about the Pratt Center from my lawyer. She recommended one of the therapists there for my daughter, who was having a difficult time after her mother and I separated. Although it was not easy for me to convince my ex to enroll our daughter in therapy due to the cost, time commitment, and because my ex didn't think our daughter needed therapy, I am so glad we did. Our daughter really connected with the therapist, stopped acting out as much and her grades improved. The therapy at Pratt isn't cheap but it's worth it. Before my lawyer told me about the Pratt Center, I

It is my great pleasure to write this long overdue review for Dr. Brendan Pratt. He comes with our highest recommendation.
I have just come home from an IEP meeting at my son's 9th grade school. It went incredibly well, thanks to the fantastic evaluation written by Dr. Pratt. The school psychologist said at our meeting that Dr. Pratt's report was one of the best he has ever seen, and it was obvious that he has worked successfully with many school districts and knows exactly what the district will require in order to provide services. We are thrilled that our son is going to be

Wow. Cannot say enough good things about Brendan Pratt. Forthright, patient, insightful, helpful, funny, balanced, compassionate... First off, he was super helpful with appt scheduling which is no small thing for teen evals. Very thorough, not rushed, initial parental meeting at which he/we agreed not to pursue testing for our daughter. Reasoning was solid. Insights surpassed what I expected at this meeting and extended to choices we would face down the road. Walked out with better understanding and specific ideas for moving forward. Total home run.
PS. Lovely office space.

We were referred to The Pratt Center by our pediatrician when it became clear that our son (age 7) was having problems with attention at school. Dr. Brendan Pratt was caring and compassionate and he quickly developed an excellent rapport with our son. The "education evaluation" process has proved invaluable. After the evaluation Dr. Pratt provided us with a very detailed report that we will refer back to in the future. Obtaining this evaluation independent of the school system gave us the peace of mind that Dr. Pratt was only working in the best interest of our son and no other agenda

This place is located in such a beautiful area at the corner of downtown Los Altos. Decided to come here after a traumatic car accident that left me with extreme PTSD that kept me from functioning properly and going to work. My anxiety was shot through the roof and my nerves were all on high alert. I was desperate for actual help and that's when my bestie introduced me to Dr. Sara Saatchi. She is the kindest and sweetest therapist I have ever met and she really makes the emotions and connections real. Best help I could ever ask for and I'm making progress faster than expected. This place

Dr. Rebecca Murray Metzger was amazing with my daughter. She was very responsive on email, patient with my 5 year old and answered all of our questions. I was uncertain about testing, but Dr. Murray Metzger's explanation of the results, along with her knowledge of local schools greatly assisted us in selecting the best options for her learning style. I strongly recommend her to anyone looking for IQ testing and/or a student evaluation.

This review has been long overdue. Sorry Dr. Pratt!. I read the one star review with incredulity. Frankly, being from the East Coast, where public schools actually care about kids, identify LD kids, do proper neuropsychological evals and then give children proper services so they can get FAPE, I find that reviewer to be disingenuous at BEST. I must say, having had 2 older LD children who were neuropsyched back East, that Dr Pratt is one of the BEST I have seen. He works well with David Tollner, my sped attorney which is also very helpful if you have a contentious situation. Anyway, my 13 yr old

It always amazes me when people don't take advantage.
Dr Pratt could have easily insisted our son needed a full pyschoeducational evaluation (~$3800), but after listening carefully he concluded that some intensive tutoring was what was in order....

Public school evaluation teams are most often working in the interest of the reduced budgets available to schools, ruling out and weeding out students who could benefit from compassionate treatment. My son was denied speech pathology services for two years until we sought out-of-school evaluation which confirmed he was more than two years delayed in his speech. The moral of the story? If your child is having difficulty, don't stop advocating until you find out the cause.
The professionals at the Pratt Center have helped both of my kids by informing teachers of developmental issues and accommodations

Brendan Pratt, Phd, is an amazing professional who quickly grasped the needs of our daughter and was able to make a huge impact in her success in school; our school has asked him to come back to lecture to the teaching staff. For our older son, he was able to move the public school system, that was very resistant to helping him, and to document our son's needs so professionally that the college board allowed test taking accommodations, even tho the school said it would never happen!! We couldn't be happier with his help and care, and our children have been able to achieve at a much

For special needs students Dr. Pratt is just as knowledgable as your team that works with you in the public school; in the public school it's free too! They can guide you to the right direction just as well and actually even better than Dr. Pratt. They will know your child more and they know all the same programs as he does. You don't need to spend 50 mins wasting your time with information you already know or can find out in other ways. It was a waste of time.
