At Neighborhood Kids Preschool we believe learning should be fun! Our philosophy is to provide an environment where children's social, emotional, physical, creative and intellectual development is encouraged through play activities designed to be age and developmentally appropriate.
Through discovery and exploration of their world, using all their senses, children are encouraged and challenged at every age to learn skills for which they are ready. To make our program a good place for every child, we gear our classroom environments and activities to be age and developmentally appropriate and to reflect our community and families we serve.

Neighborhood Kids accepts infants for enrollment at 2 month of age. We offer full and part-time programs to fit the needs of each family. Parents are encouraged to visit us, meet the teachers and see the surroundings before enrolling. Our program focuses on all areas of development including social and emotional, cognitive, physical and language.
At Neighborhood Kids, children aged 12 months - 36 months are enrolled in our toddler program. We separate them by age 12-18 months, 18-24 months, 24-30 months and 30-36 months. We also use developmental standards to assure children are placed in the appropriate group. We have an open door policy and encourage families to visit the classroom and teachers so that everyone is familiar and comfortable when children are enrolling.
Neighborhood Kids believes in teaching children to love learning. If they think school is fun and learning is exciting then children are set up for lifelong learning and are equipped to handle challenges that lay ahead. We instill a sense of responsibility and confidence through character development and positive behavior support.
Neighborhood Kids is a state-approved VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) Program. To enroll, the parent must visit the online registration site, floridaearlylearning.com to complete an application, which includes age and residence verification. Once the parent has their emailed certificate, they may visit any participating VPK provider to enroll their child in VPK.

We very recently joined Neighborhood Kids Preschool. Prior to joining, my child was with a parent at home for 2.5 years. The transition has been rough on our child and every morning when I leave him crying, my heart breaks. However, what I absolutely love about this school is what I have been able to observe via the video monitors. My son cries for all of 10 mins in the morning. The entire time, whichever adult is in the room - either his normal provider or a substitute - will stay with him until he stops crying. They give him hugs, carry him if needed, and slowly get him to feel comfortable enough
