Health insurance policies come in various forms. Two of the most common policies are major medical and short term (interim) major medical. These policies cover basically everything from doctor visits, prescriptions to hospitalizations and surgeries. These policies are offered by many insurance companies with various options and exclusions.
A Medicare Supplement policy is a health insurance policy sold by private insurance companies to fill the "gaps" in Medicare Plan coverage. These policies must cover certain expenses, such as the daily coinsurance amount for hospitalization. There are 10 standardized plans called "A" through "J". Each plan A through J has a different set of standardized benefits.
Long-term care insurance provides funding that helps pay the cost of a stay in a nursing home, assisted-care living facility, adult day care center or care in your own home if you are unable to care for yourself. Medicare and regular health insurance do not cover long-term care. A study conducted in 1987 showed that Medicare paid for less than 2% of the costs and private insurance paid for even less.
Delta Dental has two PPO plans, the Enhanced plan is $46.42/month for one, $91.34/month for two, $144.70/month for three or more. This application is done online and requires a credit card. Please contact Tammy in our office to apply. BCBS also has a PPO plan, most people pick plan 6. BCBS is done via paper application and they bill you each month.
Life insurance helps to ensure that your family and loved ones are protected against financial difficulties in the event of a premature death. This section gives you basic information about various types of life insurance. Term insurance provides protection for a specific period of time. Term insurance only provides a death benefit; there is no cash value in the policy.

This guy talked us into changing to a different health care plan and told us our drs. would be on the new plan, but they were not. Had to spend almost 3 hours getting it straightened out. If we hadn’t of noticed a different dr on the card, we would have been stuck with that. He wouldn’t get a commission unless we changed plans and the new one seemed better but obviously he didn’t care about anything but the money.
