Our lakeshore campground is located on an island right in the heart of the Chippewa Flowage, a 17,000 acre unspoiled wilderness area in northwestern Wisconsin. The majority of the campsites are near the lake with many located directly on the shoreline. We have taken countless steps to insure a pleasant experience.
Our facilities greet you up-to-date accommodations from campsites for your tent or camper to a variety of rental units including cabin, travel trailers and park models. We have a full hook-up section and all campsites have water and electricity. All sites are provided with picnic tables and fire pits.

I've stayed at quite a few campgrounds and this was by far the best one we've ever been to! The lodge is cute, tons of games! Friendly staff. Bathrooms are unbelievably nice and clean for a campground! Loved the mini golf. I have already recommended this campground to other campers I know! We will be back!
No, but we do accept travelers checks, regular paper checks (out of state also) and of course, cash. We prefer that campsites are not doubled. This is to reduce wear and tear on the grounds and so as to not crowd the neighbors. If you are given special permission to double a site, the second unit pays the same nightly fee as the first.
CAMPSITE RATES are based on 2 adults and their dependent children under age 18 (22 if student) in one sleeping unit. No second unit or tent are allowed on rental units sites. Maximum of 6 people and 2 cars. Specific sites can be reserved by number, and are indicated on the map. These specific sites are Saturday arrival and Saturday departure only.
With more than 17,000 acres of water, 140 islands and over 200 miles of undeveloped shoreline, the Flowage offers a world of opportunity right in the heart of the northwoods. Many bays and small islands dot this fantastic water world, making the Flowage a boater's paradise. The lake is teeming with fish: muskie, walleye, crappie, northern pike, bass, bluegill and perch are waiting to challenge even the most ardent angler.

This place is great. They have everything: primitive sites, rv sites, cabins, kayak rental along with a variety of other watercraft, a great beach, very nice lodge style store with eating area and a huge patio, playground for the kids, arcades, games to take outside, trails to go for a walk...I can't think of anything you could add to a campground to make it better. They also worked with us when our group unexpectedly got larger over Labor Day Weekend, they have trash pick up twice a day so the place is very clean, firewood is delivered to your site, seemed very family oriented. The lake is huge

We found Lake Chippewa by accident. I saw how much water surrounded it, knew how much my partner loves water, and took a chance. So glad we did. The campsites are well shaded, reasonably priced, and chocked full of amenities. The evidence abounds the family business loves their campers (both new and returning). They start taking reservation
Amenities for kids, parents, and any guest are plentiful: playgrounds (wet and dry), beach, watersports rentals (human and motor powered), and excellent service to boot. Restrooms are cleaned daily (if not more frequently). Showers are coin-op. If you buy firewood

Really fantastic place! Perfect for families and people who love to he on the water. We had a spot directly on the lake and the breeze was perfect during the day and stunning views! They have cabins and smaller homes for rent which looked brand new and pretty spacious. Camp sites have full hookups and accommodated our 37 ft RV. We even had a boat rental of a pontoon that made for a fun day. Clean, friendly and professional.

This place is amazing. Our site was on the shoreline facing East. I placed my tent literally 6' from the water's edge so I could fall asleep listening to the sounds of the waves gently lapping against the shore. Fishing was not good while we were there but the view across the lake was something to behold. Then, at night, I was treated to night skies like I've not seen since I was a young boy. I could see the outer bands of the Milky Way, I could see satellites traveling across the sky and, due to the amount of stars, I actually had difficulty finding Orion. The natural icing

I recently stayed at the campground and we decided to tent it. It was a beautiful campground and we had a very nice lakeside site. All amenities were within walking distance which is awesome! Also, we were able to purchase our fishing licenses when we arrived. Another bonus was the power and water at each site. I also loved the removable grates on the fire pit.
A downfall was having to pay to shower. I noticed most people stayed in campers so the shower area was never full. Also, having to pay for WiFi added to my feeling the campground was nickel and diming me. As a doe note, as soon as we got

I've been coming to the Lake Chippewa Campground for over 20 years and still love it just as much as I did as a kid. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The lodge smells like the homemade waffle cones they make every day for the plethora of ice cream flavors they have! (and change daily, which makes it easy to get a cone every single day!) Some of my favorites have been Lemon Cheesecake and Mackinac Island Fudge. The lodge also has arcade games, pool, souvenirs, toiletries and some food, a playground just behind it, and they offer mini train rides for kids twice a day! It's kept

Only great things to say! We've been coming here for 22 years and don't intend to stop anytime soon. We have a seasonal site and leave our camper there all year. The family that runs it are the nicest people ever and all the workers are always super nice and helpful too. Everything is always so clean and well maintained. This is a place that the owners as well as the guests really seem to take pride in. I don't think we've ever run into a single issue in all the years we have been there. Our daughter has grown up going to this place every summer and the memories are priceless

Absolutely beautiful. Felt like we were on a National Geographic adventure. Numerous birds: loons, woodpeckers, eagles, geese, and frogs all can be heard throughout the day. We chose a beach site $51 a night, $41 for non beach. When we arrived they gave us a map of available spaces and the keys to a golf cart and told us to pick a site. Wow, we sure appreciated leaving our RV at the entrance while we explored the very large campground.
The Landing (restaurant/bar) is within walking distance.
The lodge makes their own waffle cones and they are delish filled with ice cream. A yummy treat.

We stayed at this campground for the first time recently. Upside: right on the Chippewa flowage, nice facilities (nice lodge, laundry, lots of activities for kids); friendly staff, keep a clean and tidy campground; spacious showers, although they do cost...didn't mind that since it kept everyone moving through the showers in the morning and the water was nice and hot. They offered full hook-up and had sites where you could arrange for a honey wagon to come. Downside: Very busy campground. If our kids were small I think we'd think it was a good fit, but we are in our 50's so

It was at Lake Chippewa that we held the first of what I expect to be an annual extended family camping event. Let me first start off by saying...THIS PLACE IS DOG FRIENDLY. I almost would guess that over 70% of sites had a dog. About a 3 hour car trip from Mpls (unless your bf is directionally challenged :).
Located right on the flowage, there was abundant water activities to enjoy. We had a group campsite which gave us more than enough room to put up 3 tents and a food screen tent. We had our own beach from which we docked canoes and kayaks. Next year we will definitely be bringing the pontoon
