Sand Lake Pines Resort & Campground is located 11 miles south of Hayward on Highway 27/70on beautiful Sand Lake. This action packed body of water covers 928 surface acres with a maximum depth of 46 feet. Its clear water produces musky, northern, walleye, bass and pan fish. In addition, the circular shape of Sand Lake offers the finest in boating, sailing and water-skiing.

Reed beds located on the northern and southern shorelines offer excellent fishing opportunities for all species of fish. All cottages are within walking distance of each other. They are all modern and remodeled. All cottages have a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots & pans, dishes etc.

We've stayed here twice in the past month and it is a truly excellent resort. The cabins are fully furnished, air conditioned, and very clean and cozy. This is the place to stay if you want to relax and enjoy the quiet of the Northwoods, it's not a party destination. Lake is across the road with ample dock space for your boat and Sand Lake offers excellent mukti-species fish. Hayward is only about 12 miles from the resort, plenty of shopping and things to do. The Wilderness Walk Zoo nearby is a great place to take the kids to pet and feed animals.

Last couple years I was curious and decided to make the 2 hour drive & check out finally. Had many open sites, but mgt. said no open spots. Will never go again.

If I could i would rate this place a negative 5. Not kid friendly a owner of the place told us "I have raised my kids I don't want to hear other kids". All anyone does here is drink. They don't allow 4 wheelers "they need to be trailered in".

14 years here as a seasonal camper. Great place. Owners are super. Clean and quiet. My kids grew up here during the summers. They still love to come here.

They are so helpful and they also have a game room where parents and kids can have fun playing games, watch tv and even read. And it's great for kid's to go swimming because the lake is sandy and not deep and they have docks to park your boats.

My family comes every year and spends a week in a cabin. We love it. The campground is very quiet and clean. The cabins are well maintained. Everyone here whether its guests or staff is very friendly. The cabins are furnished which is a huge plus for me. Plus its affordable.
