Xavier High School
Through the help of our teachers, coaches and staff members, Xavier students become skilled at handling any obstacle in their way. In fact, they leave Xavier not only ready, but excited for the next big test in their life. From the minute they arrive, our students focus on becoming the best version of themselves.

For some high school students in can seem like a lifetime. But for the last 58 years, our students have spent the most important years of their life learning what they are made of and what they want to be. Our students come to Xavier ready to take the necessary steps in their growth. And by the time they leave they not only know what they want from life they know what they want from themselves.
Services
Within the Catholic tradition and within the context of a Christian community, Xavier seeks to educate the whole man - spirit, mind and body. Through academic, religious, service, athletic and extracurricular programs, the school endeavors to form a man who is academically competent, spiritually alive and physically sound.
Since opening its doors in 1963, Xavier has remained true to its Xaverian tradition of fostering excellence in scholarship, leadership and service. This requires the commitment of a large community of alumni, parents, family, friends, faculty, coaches and staff.

In that community, we all share a common bond of helping preserve Xavier as a top-tier private, all-boys Catholic high school that challenges its students to use their God-given talents in service to others. We send out to the world outstanding young men prepared to meet any challenge. They step out from our community, their home for four years, and become even more engaged in the larger community, our world.
If you are part of the Xavier community, you have an understanding of the meaning of the Xavier motto "Be A Man" that has been here since the school's opening in 1963.

In the 1965 student handbook, there was this: "Xavier High School challenges you to be a man. to perfect your mind by studying diligently, your will by doing good, your senses by appreciating things beautiful, your whole being by uniting yourself to God. the one, the true, the good, the beautiful."You have graduated from a school whose motto, 'Be a Man, ' can be thought of as anachronistic to those unfamiliar with Xavier.
Applications for Financial Aid for the 2020-2021 school year can be accessed through FACTS Tuition Management www.factstuitionaid.com. Tuition Contracts for the school year will be mailed in February. Signed contracts for each student attending Xavier in the fall should be returned to the Business Office by April.
Xavier offers more. Every student, whether academically gifted, athletically inclined, musically talented or somewhere in between, can find their home at Xavier High School. Students are able to participate in 18 sports, about 40 extracurricular clubs and activities, 20 Advanced Placement courses, and more UConn Early College Experience courses than any Catholic school in Connecticut.
