At Connecticut River Academy (CTRA), students get a jump-start on their college career. In addition to a full range of high school courses, students have the opportunity to take classes at Goodwin University and earn more than 30 transferable college credits while still in high school - all at no tuition cost.

Students are prepared academically and socially for college - laying an important foundation for future success. Connecticut River Academy is part of the Goodwin University Magnet School System, which serves children in pre-K through grade 12. Our theme-based learning experiences allow students to gain the skillsets needed to advance in the workforce or post-secondary education.

Welcome to Connecticut River Academy at Goodwin University, an early college high school with a focus on advanced manufacturing and environmental science. We believe that when scholars demonstrate self and global awareness, a respect for the importance of diversity, and understand the impact of individual and social actions, they will contribute to a more just and sustainable world.
Making plans and using strategies, resources, and innovative technologies and ideas to contribute to the well-being of self, others, and the environment. The general purpose of Goodwin University Magnet Schools, Inc. (GUMS) is to support and promote quality public education. GUMS primary activities are to operate and manage Goodwin University magnet schools: CT River Academy, Senior Academy, and Early Childhood.

GUMS is responsible for the day to day operations of Goodwin University magnet schools and will engage the appropriate resources and contracted services which are necessary to operate the magnet schools.GUMS is a direct subsidiary of Goodwin University Educational Services, Inc. Provide expertise in operating and managing magnet school programs and serve as a resource for other schools, starting new programs.

I cannot recommend more! A fantastic school that opens the door to so many opportunities. There is an incredible amount of resources for students and staff that puts CTRA two steps ahead from the rest.

Connecticut River Academy is a school that is clearly still not their academically, as well with disciplinary. First of all, in this school you are able to retake any test you want, which makes it nearly impossible to fail because 100% of your grade is your test. This is clearly reflected in the SAT scores of this school witch are on par with an average Mississippi school. On a scale of effort in this school, I would say that I give about a solid 8%, witch is amazing when you consider I have made honors every single quarter since freshman year. This brings me on to another major issue, the teacher
