Over two decades later, Mike and Ryvonne Bruno established ACE Automotive & Truck Repair in Napa with the goal of taking care of people and their vehicles. They determined to do this by upholding the highest standard of service, performing quality work, and giving people honest answers to their vehicle questions and concerns.
At ACE Automotive & Truck Repair, we perform all the general auto repair and light truck repair services you may need for your vehicle. Our mechanics are trained, equipped, and qualified to work on both import and domestic vehicles, and we undertake a complimentary 57-point inspection with every service to ensure we catch any issues before they become major problems for you and your car.

Unless your vehicle requires premium gasoline, filling up your vehicle with high-octane gas is a waste of money. The premium gas doesn't boost your gas mileage or performance. If you're not sure what grade works best for your vehicle, your owner's manual will tell you. You can also ask your mechanic what grade to use.

My truck broke down days before the Thanksgiving holiday and Ace was very busy. They took my truck in after being towed there and told me they wouldn’t get to look at it until the following Monday. Which was totally understandable. Mike gave me the list of repairs and for a reasonable price too. They would leave me updates on the status of the Truck and when all said was done. My truck came out running great and back on the road. Thank you Ace Automotive for the great service and special shout out to Amanda for her customer service.

Family owned shop with trustworthy people who are dependable and do great work. We have been taking our vehicles there for a few years now and every single time we have great service. There is NEVER pressure or an upsell like you find in some places. If they say your car needs something... it actually needs it. I see cars, trucks and even RVs over there so chances are they can help you with whatever it is you are driving. Give them a chance to earn your business, you won't be sorry.

I have a new RV and needed an oil change. Very happy to have found Ace Automotive. I called and talked to Bernie and scheduled for my oil changed. Everyone was very helpful. They charged me what they said they would and didn't try to up-sell me for services I did not need. Nice to be able to find a trusting auto repair shop. I'll definitely be taking all my other vehicles here for repairs.

This shop is honest as they come, solid work and friendly accommodating staff. A friend who grew up with Mike sent me his way and he's always been several hundred less overall than other local shops and actually surprised me by replacing an old belt for free while installing a healicoil after a bad spark plug job stripped her out from one of those over priced shops down the road lol! That's how you get return business from me! Sent several buddys Aces way and all have been happy as we have. He even will broke down a set of costly repairs down into order of most important to fix for safety

I've been taking my cars here for years and it's been a good experience. They've always been honest with me and the rates are reasonable, sure you can find a mechanic that does your work for you on driveway oftentimes cheaper, but for a shop it's reasonable and it's cheaper then the dealer.
Overall, i would recommend this place to have your car serviced. Mike is a great guy and has always been honest with me.

Ace is a great shop! I've been taking my car there for years and have recommended them to friends and family. Everybody agrees that the folks at Ace are professional and friendly and do great work for very reasonable cost. I really like the downtown location, how I can take myself out for breakfast and a walk while my car's being worked on. And on top of everything else, last winter I accidentally drained my battery and they cheerfully came right out to give me a jump in the rain. You couldn't pay me to take my car somewhere else.

Went to ACE for the first time to get my AC recharged. Was told it would be 2 hours. They knew I had no car or ride so after not hearing anything from them for 3.5 hours I walked back to the shop to check in. They said that now my fan won't start at all, but no one bothered to call and communicate that to me. They said it would be 2 more hours minimum until it's fixed. About an hour later everyone was still standing around, chatting and eating lunch (and had not even started working on my car!). My wife had been taking her 5.0 '96 Explorer here for years. Every time they "fixed" something they broke something else. One time I had them replace a gasket that required them to remove the engine. Costed around $1,200 if I recall correctly. (It was couple years ago and I am just now getting around to this review sorry). When we got the car back we noticed the whole car shaking violently when we hit the gas. We brought it back in and had to pay another grand to fix it. I don't remember what was wrong, I think they broke a motor mount or something
