Services
Includes the basic services of funeral director and staff, transfer of remains to funeral home, embalming, other preparation of remains, use of facilities, equipment, and staff for visitation, use of facilities, equipment, and staff for ceremony at funeral home or other location, committal service at cemetery, use of funeral coach/hearse, utility vehicle, DVD slideshow, register book, and service folders.
Organ and tissue donation is an important part of our healthcare system. Horizon Funeral Care works closely with hospitals and the Donor Network of Arizona to facilitate transplantation when circumstances are appropriate and in accordance with the wishes of the donor and their family.
For donors whose age or health prevent organs or tissues from being viable for transplantation, Horizon Funeral Care facilitates donation for research with accredited tissue banks who provide anatomical tissue to medical researchers and institutions of higher learning to advance scientific understanding and to train medical professionals.

James at Horizon Funeral Care made an extremely hard time in our lives a little easier. He was very compassionate taking care of our son and all the arrangements we needed. He took the time to explain all the options and we never felt pressured to have to have all the answers right away. We didn't have to stress over anything and knowing our son was in such good care helped.

The funeral and loss of a loved one is never something easy. You know it’s going to happen to a family member, but you’re never prepared. James at Horizon funeral took that burden from us. He made the burial of my father so much easier. He was very caring and very compassionate. This is a testament to showing he really loves what he does. We had such a problem with the cemetery, he even relieved that burden from us as he set everything up and handled it from beginning to end, so we could begin the grieving process. Thank you James for everything you did.

My mother was recently cremated at Horizon Funeral Care. The experience was okay enough, the people were accommodating and assisted my dad with placing my mothers ashes in an urn he provided, which I thought was nice. However, we specifically requested on the paperwork sent to us that we would like a lock of her hair and a fingerprint so that we could have a piece of jewelry made for my daughter... unfortunately, she was cremated without either of those wishes being fulfilled. Considering the finality of cremation, you would think you would review the paper work closely first, as not to miss anything

The owner, James, was very kind, compassionate and accommodating to our family's needs. My daughter initiated contact with Horizon Funeral Care located in the Sun Valley Plaza, Mesa AZ and expressed her father's final wishes. James, the owner, was able to connect us with the donation center in Tucson. He provided all the information and handled my husband's body with care. We were able to purchase a beautiful clock to house his ashes. We also received two additional small, velveteen boxes containing ashes for my daughter and myself. All of this was at a very minimal cost.

I'm very impressed with Horizon Funeral Care. A few years ago, they helped us with my grandmother, despite that we live in Tucson. This time, they helped us with my sister-in-law. They were professional and kind, and we even needed some extra help in Tucson. James drove down to Tucson to make certain that we were well taken care of. He is committed to making sure things go right, even when we have been struggling with something so wrong as an untimely death. I trust James and his team implicitly, though I hope to not need his services anytime soon.

James and Deak at Horizon were super. They took care of everything and made the process very simple. We had them coordinate out of state transfer of my dad and they handled everything. I couldn’t be happier. I felt good about the prices they quoted and charged. Their knowledge about the process made what seemed to be a daunting task easy with just one phone call to them.

At a sensitive time, I was met with a sensitive response. My first conversation with James was very comforting and clear, and I felt very cared for and immediately got the sense that my husband's last arrangements would be handled delicately, smoothly and thoroughly. Communication was easy and I loved the special touches they included such as the flower as they took his body from our home...
