Using Psychotherapy, Hypnosis, and Mental Performance training, I work with individuals, business professionals, families, and couples in a collaborative way to live life that is meaningful and satisfying to each individual. I help with healing, change, and performance improvement through personal growth and skill development.
The focus can be personal or professional goals to address what is needed in order to think clearly and feel strongly at the same time while learning the new skills to support the desired changes. This allows us to express ourselves more clearly, change maladaptive patterns, develop skills, increase our productivity and to gain depth in our choices.

Services
As a psychotherapist and mental performance trainer, I leverage over 25 years of experience in professional counseling, in-depth clinical psychological analysis, and skillbuilding. I was first introduced to the idea of clinical practice as an undergraduate student at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.
Prior to starting my practice in 1992, I worked in a variety of clinical settings. In addition to my academic training, I have continued to pursue my professional development above and beyond the requirements of my license and certifications. I have sought out opportunities in diverse areas of clinical practice with direct service delivery to clients and in training & supervising other healthcare professionals.
In the Psychotherapy counseling process, I guide individuals, couples, families and groups in how to work through psychological problems in a variety of areas of life. I employ a range of psychotherapy techniques to support you in the achievement of your desired goals for your well-being.
Although I have specialized areas of focus, I also have a general practice and would be happy to assist you in determining if my approach and skills are right for your situation.A sample list of the symptoms and behaviors that may necessitate the consideration of therapy, can be found here. Psychotherapy, or talk therapy, is most familiar to people when they think about getting professional assistance for psychological issues.

Psychodynamic therapy is a major influence in my work with clients. The daily challenges we face create physical, intellectual, spiritual, and emotional tensions, which affect the way we feel. Our body sends us signals to alert us to these challenges such as pain, stress, anxiety, worry, or fear. These signals are often symptoms of larger issues that may need to be professionally addressed.
Counseling can help most anyone who is motivated to work for desired changes and is willing to put the time and energy into the process. We all have an innate ability to heal ourselves. Learning how to develop that ability is part of the therapy process. If there is no belief in, or commitment to, the process, then it won't be helpful to you.
