Services
Medical Center Endoscopy has been and remains dedicated to providing high quality outpatient surgical care in a convenient and comfortable setting. We treat our patients and their families with the highest quality of care and maintain an enduring commitment to excellence. We are a multi-specialty facility and Medicare-certified.
Recovery periods vary from person to person and from procedure to procedure due to length of each procedure. A rule of thumb is that you can usually expect that longer procedures will require longer recovery periods and shorter procedures require shorter ones. For a half hour procedure, you might have a half hour recovery period.
We are pleased that you have chosen us to assist in your care. Our facility combines the latest surgical technology with a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. If you have a specific concern that is not addressed satisfactorily, please feel free to call Medical Center Endoscopy at (713) 796-0500. Do not eat or drink anything (including water) after 12:00 AM (midnight) unless your physician instructs you differently.
Surgery Partners and its affiliates value the partnerships we have with vendors across our network. The goods and services our partners provide allow us to deliver quality care to the communities we serve. As a trusted healthcare provider, we must ensure all our vendors meet certain federal compliance requirements.

Rudest front person.please take her off there and put her somewhere she doesn't interact with patients and family. A few other issues with this place but tldr, saving you the trouble.

This practice is horrible. They did not conduct any type of prep visit for my colonoscopy. They did not provide me any information as to what I needed to do prior to the procedure and were generally not helpful. The final insult to a when they changed the code on the procedure in order to get more money. The procedure was a preventative and after the procedure was completed, they changed it to diagnostic in spite of the fact that it was a preventative procedure. Stay far away from them as they are shady and seem to only want to make money.

Staff here is great - experienced and very caring. Hot blankets and anything else to make you feel comfortable - highly recommend if you have to get this procedure done.

These guys are in network for most major insurance companies. And they seem to be upfront and tell you all your costs during pre-registration where they already know exactly what you insurance is going to pay for procedures. But they “conveniently” fail to ever mention is that they exclusively use Galapathology Associates for pathology (despite being located right in the middle of the in-network Methodist Hospital tower). And of course, Galapthology Assoc. does not participate in any insurance program. So only AFTER you get your endoscopy or colonoscopy and have a bioposy do you find out that

Took my husband here for a colonoscopy in January. they told me my copay was $600 which was a lie. Insurance said I only owed them $140. It is March 28 and I am still waiting on them to send me a $460 refund. How this is not insurance fraud is beyond me. Make sure you ask if you can be billed for procedures if you go in the future. Better to wait and pay them what you owe than wait 2 months for them to give you your over-payment back.
