Use of very fine and thin, filiform needles to stimulate various points along the body which generates a natural healing response. Promotes proper flow of qi (body's energy and metabolism) and blood to balance the body and maintain health. Traditional Oriental herbal formulas which is most often (but is not limited to) treating internal disorders such as digestive issues, allergies, etc.
Easter Yi is the founder of Eastway Acupuncture and is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and licensed in the state of New York. Her goal as a practitioner is to ensure that each individual patient receives the highest quality of care and treatment. Dr. Yi attended the State University of Buffalo where she earned her bachelors degree in psychology.
The short answer is no. Acupuncture needles are very fine, thin, and solid and the process of needle insertion is minimally invasive. The needles are hardly felt upon insertion. Usually a series of treatments may be necessary. However each case and condition is evaluated individually therefore treatment plans are formulated accordingly.

Just completed my first ever acupuncture appointment and so far so good. Easter is thorough and patient. I’m definitely coming again!
UPDATE: Went back to continue treatment on my herniated disk because I was in severe pain. After my second treatment I could actually bend, walk without grimacing and felt so much better. I was a little hesitant to try acupuncture but it gave me so much relief!!

Easter is a wonderful acupuncturist. Her healing techniques are spot-on. I routinely see her for treatment of allergies and my wife has seen Easter throughout her pregnancy. Eastway Acupuncture's practice is clean and Easter's focus is client-centric. I can say unequivocally that Easter is a compassionate practitioner, an expert in her field, and a wonderful human being.

Christina is a great acupuncturist! I have been seeing her regularly for the past 2 years. The acupuncture I received helped me with everything from allergies and pain relief, to helping me pass a kidney stone after three painful days of waiting for it to pass on it's own. Christina is a great acupuncturist. She is very professional, caring and truly concerned with her patients' needs. I highly recommend her!

I highly recommend Easter as she's a skilled Acupuncturist who knows what she's doing. She has personally helped me as I've dealt with my first trimester. My symptoms of headache, nausea, backache and lack of energy were improved every time I saw Easter for treatments. She also has very gentle bedside manner. She always made me feel very comfortable.
