Services
Norfield Children's Center is a non-profit, nonsectarian organization with a play-based teaching model for children aged 2 through 12 years of age. We recognize the importance of early learning experiences and work hard to provide a safe, fun and nurturing environment where your child follows a play-based curriculum.
Offering an extended day program for your preschool and school-age child, Norfield Children's Center provides a safe and enriching place. Bus service from Weston Public Schools is provided, and our afterschool program supports Norfield's mission with offering flexible hours and skilled staff in order to meet the needs of at-home and commuting parents.
Maintaining the health and safety of our school environment is very important to us. Norfield Children's Center is following the guidance and safety protocols from the CDC, the State of Connecticut, as well as local government authorities. Children and staff are required to wash hands upon entering the building, as well as throughout the day.
Norfield Children's Center teachers believe in intentional teaching and purposeful play. Our directors and lead teachers hold degrees in education and fulfill requirements of the state for professional development. I grew up in Maine and began my early teaching career in the primary grades, but quickly found my true home when I moved to Weston and began teaching at Norfield Children's Center.

Norfield is the best preschool and afterschool program I could have ever hoped for. My daughter has learned so much there and met so many amazing friends. The teachers are so friendly, caring and creative, they are the reason that Norfield is so special. I also enjoyed the parent activities, like back to school night and parent's night out. We were able to meet new friends as well! My daughter has gone there for two years now and still starts to cry and get sad when I pick her up, she doesn't want to leave even after a full day of school.

Norfield has been a second home for my son since he attended the 2's. We have continued to benefit from the After School program since finishing preschool 3 yrs. ago. This is the most wonderful, loving and creative play-based choice in the area. The convenience is also a plus with a school bus option from Hurlbutt and an All Inclusive path that offers early dismissal and late school start coverage based on the Weston School Calendar. The staff is just the best and they care for your child as their own. The preschool even offers Library visits with the convenience of being located within walking

My daughter has been fortunate enough to attend Norfield for the last few years. I feel so lucky to have these loving teachers right in town! All the women @Norfield are truly special. They really care about the kids.

Norfield has provided my children with a wonderful play-based learning experience! The 4's pre-k program has been a great prep for my son who will be entering kindergarten next year - they make math, science and art fun. He always has lots to share about his day and I am continuously impressed with the teachers commitment to teaching and engaging the students in so many academic activities. The 2's program has been great for my younger child - it has been a wonderful social experience for him! He comes home naming all his friends from class and singing new songs!

We love Norfield! We toured a few other preschools in the area and Norfield stood out for all the right reasons: great, caring teachers, high level of attention to the children, and location (near the library, schools, and town center). Our daughter loved the 2's program and is currently enjoying her time in the 3's. We highly recommend it.
