Services
With 35 years of experience, Pumpkin Preschool knows that the love of learning comes from a great beginning. Through gentle teacher guidance children develop social emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and communication skills. Our specialized preschool curriculum ensures that children learn to collaborate, and problem solve as they move towards school- readiness and independence.
Our curriculum is based on thirteen areas of development with station learning. The thirteen functional areas of development that enrich our early childhood education best practices are safety, health, learning environment, physical environment, cognitive activities, communication, creativity, emotional self, social atmosphere, guidance, family involvement, program management, and professionalism of each childhood practices.
Our primary goal is to provide a nurturing, safe, and trusting environment for our infants. Relaxing music is played, and babies are carried frequently by teachers who interact with them. Attentive, loving adults always talk to babies especially during routines. They are gentle and respond quickly to baby's activities and cries.
The Daily Schedule below outlines our Toddler Program. Please note, diaper changes and potty training occur as necessary. Also, time and activities may vary throughout the day. Teachers meet the needs of the individual child and the group through interaction and observation on a daily basis.

Pumpkin Preschool offers half days for children attending Kindergarten (AM or PM), as well as after school care for 1st and 2nd graders. We help with homework and provide a fun filled afternoon in a safe environment. This is especially convenient for our parents who have younger siblings attend the program for one stop pick-up.

Best preschool in Fairfield County! My twins went there for 3s and 4s and every single day they were happy and eager to go. The entire staff is amazing, from Donnajean the phenomenal principle to the terrific teachers who made preschool feel like a second home.
At Pumpkin Preschool not only my twins got excellent care and education, they also had dance classes, Spanish classes and plenty of fun enriching events. I'm so grateful to have found this place.
