Part of an Air Force family, Dr. Jose Brigman was born in Zaragoza, Spain and moved to San Antonio with his family when he was a teenager.

Tried to make an emergency appointment for the next Monday online. I got a call in the afternoon badgering me for my insurance information. I didn't have the card on me, but know others on my plan that had been seen here and my wife and kids had been seen here. They couldn't find their files to pull the insurance number off it, and acted like I was lying about having insurance. So much for my family coming back here. Most frustrating experience trying to give a medical / dental office money in my life.

Had the best experience with a very professional staff and Doctor. Had my first visit and I admit I hesitate to go to the dentist. Dr Brigman and Marisol were very professional and made me feel at ease and kept me well informed with what was being done.

A while back I switched to a new dentist from Helotes Family Dentistry because the bills never matched my explanation of benefits from my dental insurance and the customer service for billing and claims was the worst. My parents who were also patients here decided to leave too. One of the crowns my dad got here broke and he had it fixed with his new dentist. Do not use this dentist - there are plenty more with better back office staff.

I want to preface this by saying I did not grow up in San Antonio and I'm deathly terrified of visiting a dentist. The entire staff at this location made me feel welcome, comfortable, and restored my faith in this profession. I ended up busting an old filling and part of a tooth on a Wednesday evening. I called Thursday morning and they fit me in later that day due to a cancellation (which is obviously an extenuating circumstance). The dental assistants and Dr Brigman are professional. Unfortunately I can not say the same for their office manager. She scheduled an appointment for my daughter and when I showed up she could not find the appointment. She was then rude and did not respect my patient privacy. She announced to the waiting room what my daughter was there for. They just lost three patients due to her incompetence.

These people do not care about service. My family and I have been coming here for a few years now. Everything was great in the beginning but over the past year they have grown in size but are failing miserably in service and professionalism. They have quoted me an estimate for services but didn't properly check my prior treatment history with them so the insurance would not pay. I understand this happens, but then they didn't even give me the option to pay with my FSA card and instead used a credit of mine that they had been sitting on for about 6 months. I highly recommend Helotes Family Dentistry. Who likes going to the dentist? No one. But Dr. Bregman is a cool guy, and his offices have crazy technology so I usually look forward to it.
He has LCD screens above each patient chair that either show nice calming scenery, a movie (to distract kiddos) and is also used to show your xrays instead of looking at negatives on a light box.
You sign in on a computer, and almost everything you do there is automated in some way. He is like the dentist of the future!
