Dr. Kinard is a top San Antonio dentist that provides specialized services including cosmetic dentistry, dental implants and treating sleep disordered breathing and sleep apnea. Earning her DDS with honors from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA), she has remained close to home with Kinard Family Dental.

Boutique prices without boutique service. This place does not make crowns same-day/in-office like most of the up-to-date facilities.
They used a short, weird crown, that needed to be replaced after just a few years to save themselves money. Kinard was basically condescending with a smile when I questioned the color and shape. I loved Dr. G but since Kinard took over this place feels more like a cash grab cattle call than a boutique anything.

What can I say about this place other than AMAZING! We all have anxiety/nervousness about seeing a Dentist. Let me tell you about THIS place! From the MOMENT you walk in the door the staff makes you feel welcome and comfortable. Once you go back to the hygienist it just gets better if you can believe that! They walk you step by step on the procedure they are going to do and check frequently to make sure you are ok and at ease.
THEN THE AMAZING FINALE. I was previlaged to meet Dr. Kinard and I have to tell you she was above measure. Not only was she welcoming but she took her time to explain

Dr Kinard became my dentist when Dr Gottwald retired. There are 2 other Dentist at this practice also. The dentists are excellent and efficient, as are the hygienists (Ask for Karen or Simone!). However, I can't tolerate the excessive wait times. A few weeks ago I waited 45 minutes for my appointment. Just yesterday I waited 23 minutes before I finally gave up and left. They are either over scheduling or they are understaffed. Either way, my time is worth just as much as theirs. I expect an appointment time to be the actual appointment time, not a rough estimate or approximation of when they

Horrible place, a great Doctor has the understanding of quality care and also the financial plan. These two things go hand in hand and determine whether or not you want to have service here. My experience here was great at first, came in for a estimate, then after service was done the initial price quoted went up 300$. Then after paying that, you guessed it, received a bill from them for a new balance. Awful Customer service!

Love the staff and the Dr's. Today's visit was great. I saw two Drs in short amount of time as a follow-up to a root canal and new crown. The visit was great, everyone was super friendly, especially Christie and Sam as well as the two Drs. Loretta and Dr K's personal assistant were also great.
I come all the way from New Braunfels, we recently moved from 1604 and Bandera Rd to NB, to have my dental work done here because most everyone is so great and easy to deal with. The office was clean as usual and my wait time was minimal.
I highly recommend this practice and my family members

Fantastic experience! I have VERY high expectations for my dental care and have always had top-notch dentists. My experience at D&G dental ranks among the best of the best. After recently relocating to San Antonio, I was extremely apprehensive to "blindly" and randomly find a new dentist. Honestly, I don't think I could have found a better dental practice! We are new to the greater San Antonio area and have found an excellent dental office in DG Family Dentistry in Helotes. Wifey went there to remedy a problem with her bridge and found that she needed some serious work performed. This was not a surprise given her last visit at our dentist's office in Houston. The staff at DG was very receptive as soon as we walked into the office. After she completed the examination, Dr. Kinard explained the proposed procedure to install implants and crowns. Sam, Appointments and Finance person, worked closely with us to create a plan for appointments

Absolutely love this place. Ya, it's a dental office but if you must go to the dentist, this is the one to go to. The location is super convenient, the staff is professional and friendly, and Dr. Kinard is so gentle. They do a great job making you feel comfortable. I felt like family when I walked in the front door, greeted so warmly. They offered me a drink when I arrived and headphones to drown out the sounds during my procedure. I love that they have specialists that come to the office, it's much more convenient than driving all over town when you need a specialty dentist.
