In 2007 my mother was diagnosed with Dementia. Although she was able to live by herself for a few more years we decided it was time to move her to this facility and in October of 2011 my mom became a resident. I would like to thank everybody who took care of my mother. This was very difficult for me to do, put her in this care facility, but I know she was very well taken care of.

This place is HORRIBLE! The short, little on the heavier side receptionist at the front desk that wears glasses & has short hair with highlights is rude & lazy! Will snap at you, huff & puff then roll her eyes bc u ask her to do something that's within her job scope! This shows that she's too lazy to do her job & rather sit at that front desk & do NOTHING, then to help those who needs it regarding patients!! Her attitude is disgusting & she shouldn't be the face front of the company when you walk in if this is the kind of behavior she displays!!
And the social worker (MARIA) is even worst !!!

This is the worse place I have ever worked at. I worked here as a nurse immediately after obtaining my license. They gave me only two days on the floor of training and when I asked about more training the scheduler told me to keep practicing on the floor until I catch the flow of things.
When Something was done incorrectly they write you up.
The lady who trained me was late every day.
Some of the staff unprofessional and dating each other one being a supervisor.
The over night staff sleep in the lobby or in their cars. As a nurse do not choose this shift you will not get help.

I’m writing this specifically to sing the praises of and thank their former Activity Director, Debbie. Today 5/21/2021 was her last day. My mom has been at Alameda HC since a December 2017. There have been a number of good staff who have provided care to my mom and I am grateful to all of them but Debbie went out of her way to assist especially on Mother’s Day. I will always cherish the memories created that day. My mom remembers moments that would not have been possible without Debbie’s support and dedication to her clients. I have had many moments of contention with their management and

Horrible experience. They don’t answer their phones. I’ve found they don’t always tell the truth. Some of their staff are rude. The cordless phone is always missing, it’s not charged, or the staff doesn’t know where it is. I mailed brand new lumberjack shirts that my love one never received. I confirmed they were delivered. My love one complains constantly about being cold. He is cold natured and they have him in a short sleeve shirt and shower shoes. Since the pandemic and no family visits are allowed. Phone calls are the only form of communication.

DO NOT send your loved ones here. There is absolutely no communication with the nurses, staff or social workers. They never answer the phone. If they do they are clearly annoyed and will keep transferring you until you give up. They lie to you in the admissions process telling you of all the care the offer but dont give. The facility is old and dirty. Patients are not dressed or cleaned. This place is so awful. No one has answers when I ask because they dont care.

The staff is very caring (protect) but severely understaffed. I’ve had to ask for service or items. I feel that the patients that are not English speaking are somewhat neglected by some of the CNA’s (especially those that work graveyard). You need flash cards for those that are unable to communicate.

We had my 94 year old mother-in-law brought up from s hospital in Fresno where she had broken her hip and developed a serious bed sore while recovering in a Fresno nursing home. The staff at Alameda Heathcare & Wellness were excellent. While would have liked to have had a private or double room instead of the triple room that she was given, we thought the care she received was exceptional in every way. The staff was always responsive to are concerns and requests and treated my mother-in-law with kindness and respect.
While my mother-in-law passed away in less than three months after entering Alameda

Fudge. Just arrived and couldn't get a nurse to help my grandmother go to the bathroom.
I was told there will be Chinese staff by the hospital social worker and just found out there's only two Chinese speaking staff. Would have been great if we weren't mislead. The ability for the staff to communicate with my grandma would help immensely.

Alameda Healthcare & Wellness Center provides a great atmosphere and care for my mother. It has been about a year since my mother was admitted into the long term program as well.
The staff has been so kind and helpful with the transition and care, always going the extra step for my mother and even myself (words of support etc). I truly feel that my mother is in a sense part of the “family”. The upbeat atmosphere and great customer service/relation is definitely a must in this field and definitely is reflected.

My cousin has been at Alameda Healthcare & Wellness for approximately one month. On my first visit I noticed how clean the facility was and the staff was very professional. My cousin was well cared for even though he doesn't have the best insurance they are treating him with dignity and respect. The staff is always available and very courteous and helpful. I expected to see a place that was run down and staffed with people who didn't care but that was not the case and has not been the case each visit. I would highly recommend this place for someone who needs this type of care.
