Blackshear Veterinary Hospital

I have taken my three dogs to Blackshear Animal Hospital for 7 years. They have consistently provided superior service. Dr. McCall and Dr. Harrison are both very concerned and attentive to my pets needs. I live 4 hours (round trip) from Blackshear and have many veterinarians closer. I choose to go the extra distance because of the professional, attentive and caring services provided by these doctors and the entire staff.

We were visiting from out of town when our older cat with existing health issues developed an upper respiratory infection. We brought her to Blackshear Veterinary Hospital, and the staff saw her quickly and treated her (and us) with kindness and care. Dr. McCall even spoke with us two nights later, when our cat was struggling to breathe, and gave us some good advice. With continued medication and one more unscheduled vet visit, our cat is feeling better. We really appreciated this vet practice and how they squeezed us in during a busy holiday week. Dr McCall was wonderful with the Johnson Girls. First time visiting and she took time to take their history I feel confidant that I have picked the right vet.

I was traveling my German shepherd got an impacted tooth the took him in and fixed him right up the staff was excellent and very helpful

Bath and nails price was great. Service was fast and friendly. $40 to attach peddi paws to front paws only was just way to much for our easy going dog...

They took very good care of my fur baby. Had him out of surgery in no time. Always called to make sure I was notified of how his surgery went & when I was able to come pick him up. Very professional. 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all the way around.

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Haley for years. Love her. She is so sweet and kind. My dog Dallas had surgery yesterday. Dr. Harrison called me after surgery and told me he was out and doing good. Today he is great. Eating and drinking with no problems. Want to thank every one for taking care of my fur baby.

Dr. McCall has been the most amazing vet I could ever ask for. She treated my dog like he was her own at the end of his life, and was understanding and by our side as my family grieved over our boy. People like Dr. McCall are one in a million.

Can not brag enough, on the great team, at Blackshear Veterinary Hospital!! Recently moved to the area. First time visit today, as a new client..ALL the staff, were so very nice! I would like to sincerely thank the staff at Blackshear Veterinary Hospital. With great compassion, professionalism, & kindness, they helped guide me through one of the most traumatic experiences of my life… recently, as my 9 year old dog, Molly, lost her life as a result of heart failure, induced by the anxiety of a long car ride.
Dr. Harrison & the Blackshear staff worked diligently to treat Molly, providing her with Lasic injections & oxygen until it became clear that my poor girl just didn't have the strength to pull through.

Thanks to Blackshear Veterinarian Hospital they brought my sweet little Girl Scout Wright back to life . She Ingested a Pesticide called Rancona . It looks like a peanut but is coated with Rancona . 3 Days ago… she became very sick !!! She started shaking uncontrollably , Vomiting, Diarrhea ( Jelly Substance ) , No appetite and wouldn’t eat . She became very Lethargic and even tried to bite me twice which is very unusual for her because she is the happiest little 11 month old English Cocker and very energetic . I knew she was very ill . Dr Mccall was on call that night and called poison
