Lake View Motel is looking for friendly, motivated individuals with an upbeat, pleasant attitude to serve our guests promptly and to provide our guest with an enjoyable, relaxing stay. Some computers skills good but not required. Take reservations and enter them into the computer. Good communications skills, able to answer multiple phone calls while dealing with the public.
For stays of 4 or fewer nights, we require 7 days advance notice for a refund of the deposit minus a $10.00 cancellation policy. If a cancellation is made with less than 7 days advance notice, no refund will be made as the deposit amount is forfeited. There are no exceptions to this policy. If your stay is 5 nights or more, we require 30 days advance notice for a refund of the deposit minus a $50.00 cancellation fee.

We stayed in one of the 2 suites overlooking the Lake. The suite was very spacious. It was also very clean. There was a little musty smell that hopefully they can get rid of one day. Updating needs to be done but for the rate it is decent. All the staff was very friendly! Doreen emailed us a list of restaurant recommendations and answered all our questions. We will definitely stay again!

This was a quick stay for us as we stopped at the Hall of Fame before driving to Boston. We got in after hours but our key was still ready for us. The room was nice enough and the place was very quiet, which was nice. We got up very, very early to start our drive but the sun was just coming up. Looks like they have a deck on the lake where you can sit and watch the sunrise/sunset. Looks like a pretty good place to spend some time during the summer.

We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom cabins with a kitchen. Owners need to do some updating/painting/fixing since several of the blinds were broken and the curtains dirty and gross. Beds were small and the bed spreads looked like they had not been washed in a long time. If they painted it would freshen up the space. Did look like the upper kitchen cabinets and the fridge were new so that's a start.
Did have Great Lake access along with peddle boats to use. The swim area had large water grass growing in the area so not friendly to swim out to the floating swim pad.

Second time staying here and in love this place. The location is really what sells it for me. You get to wake up every day of your stay and catch the sunrise on the lake from the Adirondack chairs or the loungers on the dock. Just a supremely beautiful spot. But to make things even better they are so reasonably priced. Why stay in the price gouged chain hotels outside of Cooperstown when you can stay here? Inside the rooms are cozy. Big fridge for bringing back local wine and beer and I love their shower. Only drawback for me is the stiff bed but I have yet to wake up hurting so there's that

We loved the view of the lake and sitting out on the dock reading. We had 2 queens which I maybe accidentally requested but there was only 2 of us so not necessary but I didn't find a need to complain so we kept it. Very friendly staff, would love to go back when the weather is warm and jump in the water!

The location is great, the rooms were the cleanest I've ever seen at a hotel and the price was affordable. Easily the best accommodations I've had while visiting the HOF area. The front desk staff is very friendly and you can tell they care about their guests and their property.
The lake front area is nice, as well. There's Adirondack chairs to relax on as well as a dock and deck area. Fishing poles are provided as well as paddle boats. You also get a local paper each day. Easy drive into the trolley parking area or downtown if you want to park there.

My friends and I wanted to come take a day trip to Cooperstown (for baseball hall of fame and Ommegang Brewery). We got there really late at night and left the next morning (from the motel that is) so we didn't need a crazy fancy bed and breakfast to stay at. We booked the room 2 weeks before heading up there and EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING was booked up. Except for Lakeview Motel. That had me feeling a little skeptical. But it was the only thing available, so we took it. Honestly, it was perfect. After we left we said we will stay there again the next time we return to Cooperstown

I wish I could say more than the other reviewers. The room was clean and comfortable but a little on the small side. The parking was great. Literally less than 20 feet from your bed. The rooms have a fridge and microwave too. It would be a great place to stay if you were traveling with a large group and booked several rooms next to each other. They even have chairs outside your door so you can hang out like you were on your front porch. The rates were very reasonable for the area.

Its a short drive to Main St. Thats a big plus. The woman working the front desk was quick to offer us maps and places to go for dinner. She was very friendly.
Rooms are small, but that didnt bother me too much. Very clean.
Cell signal was very very weak, but they had Wifi there which helped out a lot.
No doubt I'll be returning if I go back to NY

I'm so glad I chose to stay here! It's about 7 miles from Main St. I'll definitely come back to stay here next time I'm up.
The staff was helpful providing maps and information. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. I really enjoyed the cable TV that I'm not used to having - we were mostly very excited that they had AMC so we could watch Breaking Bad.
The motel has a deck/dock area on the lake & it was so nice to sit outside and look at the scenery. I wish I could have stayed longer to utilize the swimming/fishing area.
