Gill founded the company in 1889 and the Gill family continues to serve the metro area today. All funeral directors are University of Minnesota graduates. Ours is not just any funeral home. Our years of experience combined with our highly professional, friendly and compassionate staff, make Gill Brothers Funeral and Cremation Services the first choice for hundreds of Minneapolis/St. Paul area families each year. Letting go of a loved one is usually a very difficult process.
We are nothing without our dedicated staff. Dan started working in the family business while attending Edina-East High School in 1976. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1981 with a Bachelor's Degree in Mortuary Science.
M.J. Gill founded Gill Brothers Funeral in downtown Minneapolis in 1889. Now in the fourth generation, Gill Brothers has grown to three chapels that provide funeral and cremation services in the Minneapolis, Minnesota and surrounding area, including Minneapolis, Edina, Richfield, Bloomington, Burnsville, Crystal, Golden Valley and New Hope.

I stumbled upon Gill Brothers while doing an internet search for funeral homes near Ft. Snelling, where my father will be laid to rest. I researched many options in the area, but found myself going back to Gill Brothers after each new website I would analyze. Something stood out to me at Gill Brothers. I'd like to call it grace.
