We believe that every human life is precious, and that the death of a loved one is a time for family, friends and community to come together for support and commemoration. At Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel, we celebrate the idea that every funeral service is unique. Our funeral directors have helped thousands of families plan services for a variety of situations, involving both Burial and Cremation.

Learn about the funeral process, from the First Call, to how to prepare for the Arrangement Conference, to your options for Funeral Services and Final Disposition. Our society plans life events such as weddings, vacations, and retirements, and we believe that life's final event should also be given attention in advance.

At Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel, we celebrate the idea that every funeral service is unique. Our funeral directors have helped thousands of families plan services for a variety of situations, involving both Burial and Cremation. We strive to make every Funeral Service, including Traditional Services, Memorial Services, and Graveside Services, both personal and memorable.
We understand that the death of a loved one can be an emotional time. It can be difficult to know what needs to be done and how to proceed. This guide was put together to help familiarize you with the process of making funeral arrangements. In the event that death occurs at home, and the deceased was not under home hospice care, the first call should be made to Emergency Services (dial 911).
During the Arrangement Conference, family and friends meet with a funeral director to plan funeral services and arrange for final disposition of the deceased. Our funeral directors will create the best experience for friends and loved ones. The funeral director will need the following information about the deceased, as soon as possible, to file a death certificate with the State of Minnesota.

I wanted anyone that reads this to know the quality of service we received from the team at Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel.
My Dad planned most of his funeral, and the team delivered everything he requested to the letter, plus so much more. They were professional, detailed, kind, totally on top of everything right down to assistance with small details outside the scope of their required work. They made it look easy and seamless and took so much off our to-do lists. My sisters and I are particular and satisfying 5 women is challenging, and not one thing was left incomplete or unfinished. I greatly

The staff here was so kind and personable. They guided our family with professionalism, empathy, and integrity. The whole process was very transparent. There was zero high pressure sales tactics aimed at making our family spend more money, but presented all of our options. I would highly recommend them.

We strive to make every family welcome with a personal touch. I may be biased because this is my place of work. But honestly, I can not imagine working for a better family. My family has always done business here (even before I was employed here). I would recommend this chapel to everyone.
