In 1967, Congress passed the Community Mental Health Centers Act, fulfilling President John F. Kennedy's vision to adopt a "bold new approach" to the treatment of mental illness in the United States. The Center was the first provider in the five-state Rocky Mountain region to build a comprehensive community mental health center with funds awarded through the Community Mental Health Centers Act.

As a former employee, I can tell you DO NOT work for them. They will use you as a disposable employee and not think twice about your own mental health. If you're a client... know that their staff is under appreciated, under paid, and under supported by their administrative staff. Your therapist will do as much work as they can within a stressful and toxic environment.

I called to inquire on how to get help around 8.30 am. The first time I called they said because I had Medicaid I was told I was poor, broke, had no money and I would have to call a crisis number or website while being suicidal, and hung up the phone with out any warning. I called back to find out why and got hung up on again. I still got no information, no number, no help and no answer all the while I was told I was poor and desolate, broke and had no money because I was on Medicaid. How dare you judge me and discriminate against people on Medicaid.

The office staff is horrible, I called today to try and schedule and intake appoint for my child, I was given bad information about how to schedule the appointment from the crisis center and while I was trying to figure out how to do it the women hung up on me when I called back, I asked to speak to her manager and she hung up on me again! This is beyond unacceptable! They are supposedly here to help with the community's mental health needs, I have a hard time believing they can help anyone with anything!

They’re good ‘music’ is the absolute worst. They claim to do mental health. But then their hold ‘music’ is a kriffing beep tone. And let me tell you. Community Reach Center, every time I have to call you and am out on hold it makes me want to hurt myself. So maybe you should put in the extra expensive and either use actual music or silence.

I've been with community reach for 5 years now but recently it's like all of the doctor's just up and leave. I had nobody call me to tell me my doctor was leaving and it was a hassle just to try and find a different doctor. I had 2 doctors just up and leave and I was basically stranded to find a new one and than for some reason all of the doctor's never have open appointments early enough for people to be seen, I just do not recommend this place anymore.

Extremely disappointed in this program. No one believed me when I told them the therapist they chose for me was out of my network so we kept scheduling appointments. I’ve been thrown around therapist to therapist doctor to doctor for years. And they truly wonder why people with mental health issues don’t seek help.

I have been helped by wonderful thoughtful therapist and group programs in my rehabilitation from my own personal traumatic experiences and I would like to thank all the professional staff members for being warm at entering bthe front door to my entire treatment program which is helping me back on my feet and helping me cope through some really hard times. I'm thankful to God for this location and for the amazing staff taking great care of my mental care and stability.

Just like standardized testing. If they cannot evaluate and measure the positive difference they make.in your life, qualitatively or quantitatively they see no reason to keep you on. I informed staff of how not only valuable but beneficiary the sessions were but because we could not set a measurable goal the decision was to discharge me. I can't afford sessions at 60 to 180 dollars an hour otherwise. I have 4 children and a household to support.
