Mad Batter was born when Anne Gros was a young girl, learning to bake at her Grandmother's side. Her Grandmother taught her the old-fashioned skills of cooking and baking. She then shared those same time-honored traditions with her daughter and together the two became Mad Batter Bakery. At Mad Batter, we only use the finest quality ingredients to ensure a fresh, great tasting product, without the use of preservatives.

Four torted layers of Almond cake filled with Italian Cream, Raspberry Puree & Fresh Berries. Eight torted layers of cake with choc doberge or lemon filling (or half & half) covered with chocolate ganache or lemon ganache! We offer cakes in a variety of flavors including, but not limited to: Almond, Vanilla, Yellow, Chocolate, Red Velvet, Coconut, Strawberry, Maple & more!

The Mad Batter Bakery did a great job with our cake! The experience we had with the cake tasting was wonderful - we were able to try different combinations of cake flavors, icings, and fillings. We were able to ask questions and get an accurate quote. They kept in contact with us throughout the process and delivered an amazing cake that was exactly what we wanted. Would recommend!

We eloped in New Orleans 9/25/2020 and ordered a small six inch cake from here and it was hands down the most amazing cake I’ve ever had. Well yesterday we celebrated one year and took it out of the freezer and thawed it and ate it today and it was still AMAZING! If you haven’t you need to go here and order a cake! Or anything I can bet it’s amazing too!

If I can give zero stars I would. They give moldy cakes out and the inside of the building is COVERED in mold!!! They treat their employees like dogs and underpays them, short their pay however she wants because she pays them under the table!!! forces them to work in disgusting work conditions. The mold was recently brought up to the health department and she simply PAINTED OVER THE BLACK MOLD AGAIN. The owner and her daughter are the rudest people I've ever met! They are just as bad as Walmart they use frozen cakes from months and months ago. This place needs to be shut down please nobody

Let's just start with me reading several negative reviews on this quaint little place. I've read how much expectations people had from them and they are let done. However, I didn't get their same results. In fact, I've got more what I've expected. Furthermore, Mad Batter Bakery was not my original choice for bakery for my Wife's birthday cake but they stepped up and gave me a wonderful cake. Wow, I just can't even begin to describe how awful this bakery is. Since their king cakes won a bunch of polls, I decided to check them about, and buy a few different flavors of their filled offerings. First off, they aren't filled during the pre-boxing process, so they take a regular king cake that is sitting on the shelf, and take it to the back to fill it. They turn it upside down to hand fill it, so it takes quite a while - and your king cake comes back as a smooshed up mess. The king cakes themselves were all dry. How this place managed to get better king cake reviews than bigger

Excellent, beautiful cakes. I've ordered five very different cakes from them this year and they've all been amazing. Most recent was a German chocolate cake that wowed everyone at the birthday party I brought it to. The prices are reasonable and the owner goes out of her way to "make it right", even with our demanding needs. Amazing bakery.

We Just purchased a baptism cake from here and was very displeased. The cake started to lean, crumble, and fall apart not long after getting it and they said it was our fault. It was super messy and not at all like what was requested. Absolutely poor service and will never waste another dollar here again. Wish I was able to leave 0 stars...

We attended a cake tasting on 8-19-2017. I must say that our experience was fabulous. The store decor is Alice and Wonderland themed which was unique. The bakery itself was very neat, clean and very well maintained. We were seated and given a variety of delicious cakes, icings, and fillings to sample. This experience was different from previous tastings, she allowed you to actually formulate a custom cake vs giving you what "she " thought you might like. The owner was attentive, thorough and knowledgeable. Her design expertise is unsurpassed based on previous examples of her work

Ordered a retirement cake for an employee. It was the ugliest cake I have ever seen. The writing on the top looks like a kid did it or maybe me. So much empty space and the word retirement scrunched up to the border. You can't even read it. $50 wasted-I should have done it myself it would have looked better. Picture included.

I ordered a chocolate cake with cream cheese icing and chocolate covered strawberries in the top. The cake it self was reasonably priced
I picked up the cake and asked when had it been baked and was told Wednesday...... unmmmm......that was a red flag for me. She told me they bake them early to give them time to set and to cool. I picked the cake up at 2 pm on Saturday.
I asked if the cake had to be refrigerated and she asked what time was the party

2nd time buying a $200+ birthday cake and both are disappointing. Even the cupcakes are terrible. The cakes did not look like the picture we gave them.
(2 years ago)The first $250 cake was a mini mouse theme cake with fondant and the fondant was not even all around and full of finger prints on it all over the cake. We cut into it and hardly had butter cream in it. It was mostly fondant and (dry) breading.
(This weekend) second order we made, we wanted to give them a second chance. The cupcakes we ordered were mickey mouse themed cupcakes with swirled frosting, and glitter red sprinkles, they
