We work with each child to assure a quality foundation in a nurturing and secure environment. Our goal is to provide a safe and secure environment for each individual child.
All programs at our school provide time for both teacher directed and child directed activities and experiences. We believe that children learn through active exploration and interaction with adults and other children and materials. Our teachers encourage curiosity and experimentation, and have chosen materials that expand children's cognitive development.
The staff at Stonewood School possesses a basic love of children, meet and in most cases exceed the state requirements for Early Childhood Education classes. They all have experience working with young children and their families, and have First aid and CPR certification. The staff enjoys and understands how young children learn and grow.

The most important goal we work on in the infant room is assisting each infant to achieve milestones. We provide an array of activities for infants to foster their motor skills and strength.
Your children will be learning and mastering many skills through out the school year including: alphabet, number, shape, and color recognition, basic writing skills will also be introduced to each of your children. Our preschool program has a new and exciting theme every week. We encourage and welcome any materials or ideas that you as parents may have to go along with our weekly theme.
