Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center
Spring Valley receives Gold in Best Place to Have a Baby and Silver in Best Hospital categories. Many of our services are nationally accredited or certified by independent organizations that set the bar on quality care. Goal is to reduce symptom severity and prevent hospitalizations for high-risk individuals. Teens and adult patients must meet specific criteria. Nine Valley Health System employees were honored, including the Grand Prize winner Amanda Hamm, RN, Clinical Supervisor.
Services
In 2003, Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center was the first acute care hospital to open in southwest Las Vegas. And since then, we are proud to have grown alongside our community.

Today, our 364-bed hospital features all private rooms and a comprehensive range of medical offerings to meet the needs of area residents and visitors including: 24 hour emergency services, cardiovascular services with a specialty in open-heart surgery, inpatient rehabilitation, maternity services with a Level III NICU and wound care.
Some wounds (any type of break in the skin) heal on their own with a bandage and a little patience, but those that don't heal normally require specialized and aggressive medical treatment. If a wound does not improve after four weeks, or does not heal within eight weeks, it is considered a non-healing wound.
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Preventing cardiovascular events before they occur is important: stopping smoking, keeping blood pressure under control, losing weight if you're overweight and increasing the amount of fresh fruits and vegetables you eat can help reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure and coronary artery disease.
The CentRx Pharmacy on the Spring Valley Hospital campus makes getting prescriptions and picking up over-the-counter items quick and easy. The CentRx Pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (closed Saturday and Sunday) to fill prescriptions written by physicians at Spring Valley Hospital or any other healthcare provider in the region.
A team of providers, nurses and staff at Spring Valley Hospital work in cooperation with other specialists to provide efficient, quality treatment for a number of complex problems. It's important to seek emergency care if you or someone you know is experiencing a medical emergency. Watch this video to learn all the steps we are taking to help keep you safe during your ER visit.

I came to the ER at Spring Valley Hospital at 12: 00 pm Thursday, January 27, 2022. I had been ill from covid for 2 weeks and was not getting better. I was getting worse and weaker every day.
The incredible ER staff quickly diagnosed that what had been covid had become pneumonia and had taken over my lungs.
It was very busy and took a while to get me into a bed, but even during the wait I was receiving treatments from the incredible staff.
I cannot say enough about how passionate, dedicated and skilled these people are. While I was waiting, I heard staff deal professionally with so many different

Simply put, they STINK! I hate Spring Valley Hospital. I'm in the hospital now and I wanted to go to sleep for the evening and when I went to cut off all the lights an extremely bright light cut on in my face attached to a camera. As you may imagine I was very pissed off about the whole idea of being watched and having my privacy violated. On other occasions when administering IV's in my arm the nurses poked so many holes in my arms that it left bruises all over my arms. The nurses were very rude and nasty and never apologized for what they did. I'm going to refrain from coming

I recently gave birth to my daughter at Spring Valley Hospital and I can't say enough good things about my experience. From my tour, to a few scary pre-birth nights there monitoring my baby... the staff was always kind and on top of their game.
I had a scheduled induction that turned into a C-section for my safety due to the charge nurse finding that I was high risk for a hemorrhage due to a previous surgery. I am so grateful they were paying attention to avoid a possible dangerous issue. They took all of the precautions with my high risk baby as well.

Spring valley hospital is the best in the west.
Everything from the cleanliness to the support personal was excellent.
The one complaint most people have about hospital's is the food.
The food served nightly was so good , I waited in anticipation for the next days meal.
I had major surgery and want to thank all that helped me along the way to recovery.

From nurses to doctors and even the ones that deliver your food, every staff member I encountered was professional, polite and definitely caring. Regardless who came into my room, they always asked if I needed anything and not to hesitate to let them know what I need. I was very impressed with Spring Valley Hospital.

I just want to thank the Emergency Room staff for having patience with my 3 year old on our recent visit. Me and my son went around 4am a couple of days ago and the staff was so patient with my son who was having a complete meltdown being checked by the nurses. One of them even took my son to get him a toy to calm his nerves. The other nurse who did our Covid test also waited with us to get an accurate reading on his heart rate. She talked to my son and calmed him down to get his heart rate down. I was hesitant to go with the current surge of Covid, but the wait was not long at all and we were

Went to the ER for and infection from a previous surgery. From check-in to checkout (I ended up spending the night) everyone was exceptional. Responsive to my calls, proactive in getting me released quickly, conscientious in my overall care. And the food was even good if not delicious.
One gripe I have about ALL hospitals in which I've had the "pleasure" of staying. NO opportunity for restful, recuperative sleep. With all the modern technology, why can't those who must check in on you for vitals check, meds, whatever, somehow coordinate so they kind of come at close to the same time. Invariably

ER Staff was great and acted quickly to get me taken care. I gave 3 stars off due to not having any beds available to move patients over especially during this pandemic. Even while getting an IV fluid you have to be in the general waiting area with other sick patients worrying about your surrounding. I did walk to the back to get a CT scan and there were plenty of beds open. I am not sure what is all that about.

Everyone was nice, but that only goes so far. Care was provided in the waiting area. I realize that we are still in a pandemic, but ever heard of HIPAA? I could tell you the symptoms and diagnosis of everyone in the room if I wasn't so focused on my own issue.
Since they could not actually examine me with the 20 other people watching, I was misdiagnosed and sent home in terrible pain. Luckily, my primary care physician could squeeze me in a few days later and, upon exam, could plainly tell the problem and diagnose correctly. But I was left in terrible pain with no treatment for the illness for

I was hospitalized with pneumonia for a couple of days. Starting from time i arrived at the emergency room the emergency team and staff were there for me took me in and were attentive the entire time until I was admitted and sent up to my room.
Basically throughout the entire time on all shifts were terrific on all levels. I observed nurses and their assistance communicating and working together professionally. As a result I recovered quickly. Athough Jill and Chris are the names i remembered, I want thank all the other staff that were there.

I went to the ER per my doctor's instructions due to having COViD-19. I requested to receive the antibodies multiple times.
After getting checked in, I was asked to sit in a separate area.
The doctor proceeded to order a
EKG
Cardiac enzymes x2
Urine test
X-ray
CT scan
Several other blood tests
I received one bag of fluids and then was discharged without receiving the antibodies.

What I observed was all COVID patients were given the same treatment.

When I asked about receiving the antibodies, I was told it would be another 4-5 hours I would have to wait.

I am thankful they found my discharge

The nurse are young and aren't burnt out, I like the rooms are single rooms so you don't have too put up with anyone. The only complaint is a couple of CNA'S are lazy and never around but the few CNA'S makes up for the lazy ones. I been too a couple of hospitals in the valley and I will only go to spring valley medical center.

This place is so unprofessional and rude. While my visit , the nursing staff barley checked on me even though I have extremely bad kidney stones and couldn't keep anything down, they say "call don't fall" but take hours to come when you ring the call light. If you have the option of going to a different hospital do it !!! This one is horrible they need new staff on floor 3 forsure !!! If I could I'd rate it as 0 stars. Nurse - Joey , Ana Marie , Loraine & Judith need new jobs

Is care there good. No. It's excellent. Unfortunately the facility is severely hampered by it's deceptive billing practices.
They turn me over a collection agency and negativity affected my credit for an ER I do not owe them.
Avoid this hospital at all costs.

Last year during the height of the pandemic, a loved one ended up here after a life threatening neurovascular event. He was brought in my ambulance to the ER and subsequently admitted for nearly 2 weeks. Although this was a very scary time for us (visitation was understandably limited even though his hospitalization was not Covid related), most of the staff was very caring, kind, and professional. I am sorry that it has taken me a year to post this review, but I just wanted it to be known how grateful I am for the nurses and doctors at Spring Valley.

This rating goes to their ER department.
In the process of getting my wife attention for post knee surgery, we had to wait in the ER lobby. During our wait we watched a very professional staff manage a high number of patients complaining of multiple illnesses.
Staff remained cool, calm and collected throughout the treatment cycle.

I believe this hospital did a good job of hiring the right people, with the right character to interact with people who are ill and suffering.

My boyfriend suffers from PTSD. We had to call paramedics when he went into an episode at Area 15. They took him here. Everyone was so thoughtful and caring. They let me stay in the room with him, so I can try to talk him down from the spasms. SO MUCH BETTER than Sunrise Hospital. Sadly we had to call paramedics again a few hours later and they took us to Sunrise. They were SO COLD and indifferent. I would never go there even if I was dying.

By far the worst hospital in the entire Las Vegas valley.

The nurses are the best part of this hospital!

I was given rotten food, spoiled milk, wilted food daily the food here is not fresh but microwaved As I can tell because I am a trained chef. The health dept should pay this kitchen visit. There is no way you should be giving out outdated Milk to patients. The dietary who would drop coffee on my tray, not Clean it so I'm left with a wet tray and sticky napkins outside of not giving me my correct meals as ordered.

I was treated like crap by cna Marisa who acted as if me asking to

It's crazy I never reviewed this hospital but I was in back in 2014 when I had a hysterectomy and had no problems while I stayed there, so I thought it would be the same way for this time, plus I was told I wouldn't be in long.

This is based on the next time I had to stay which was after my neck surgery. ( This is long with many parts missing)
I was in on Feb 1st had my neck surgery, everything went great but because of how far from the hospital I lived they thought I'd be in for a night turned into 2, then 3 and longer. The 3rd night I had severe pains in my stomach they put me

At the BirthCenter during COVID I had the best experience I could have hoped for. Every nurse was friendly, every medical professional otherwise was knowledgeable, I literally had the best anesthesiologist in the world! Had to get a c-section which was scheduled so I had the luxury of talking with him beforehand and he explained everything and patiently asked me if I had questioned my blood pressure never tanked so I was able to go through c section without feeling sick. The nurses where helpful and kind. One nurse watched my baby a few hours the second night so I could get some rest. Never once

Gabbi is a beautiful soul. She saved my life. Not sure how I ended up here but Gabbi is an amazing nurse. I loved waking up and seeing her beautiful face. This was my first time alone in a hospital and she made me feel safe and she was super caring. She is definitely in the right field, and she's the best at what she does. Thank you so much Gabbi!!!!! Very caring and attentive to the patients. God bless her.
