Want to save money over the lifetime of your bicycle? Want your bicycle to roll faster with less effort? If so, consider having your bicycle bearings cleaned and regreased before it's too late. Most mechanics call this repacking or overhauling the bearings. The main bearings on a bicycle are the front and rear hubs, headset, and bottom bracket bearings.
During High School from 1979-1983, I worked as a mechanic at Strings and Spokes in Los Alamos New Mexico. I honed my skills under the tutelage of Dave Yeamans, who taught me many tricks of the trade. His most practical advice was "If the shop is on fire, make sure you tighten the pedals before you leave!"

Robert is the Best! He knows all bikes, serviced my heavy Rad Rover with his awesome lift in about 15 minutes when other shops were out 3 weeks, and many would not service my Rad (boooo on them. Robert is reasonable and fair, very knowledgeable, expert service at a great value, my go to mechanic forever. Thanks Robert, the Beast shifts perfectly now!

I chose Robert because of the great Google reviews, and now I'm happy to add my own. Robert is a real crafts-person, has been fixing bikes for decades, and clearly still has a passion for it. He transformed my somewhat neglected bike into virtually brand new again. Fixed, adjusted, cleaned and tested. Fantastic work, quick turnaround and reasonable rates. Highly Recommended!

Robert is the Bike Whisperer. He has gone above and beyond to get my new bike tuned just right. Just as an example of his genius, he used scrap metal to make a custom derailleur support plate since the stock item didn’t work for my frame. I learned more from a handful of conversations with him than from my many hours of googling and YouTubing bike maintenance issues. He has a great clean shop, super friendly attitude, good vibe. Oh, and he used to race, so he wants to help make you faster.

Roberts bicycle repair is everything everyone else has already said. He takes the time to explain the repairs he made as well as give suggestions about preventive maintenance to save you money in the long run. Prices are very fair and the turnaround time for me was amazing way better than a name brand bike shop

Robert serviced my bikes this summer (2017), & I got much more than I had bargained for, in a very positive way. Robert goes beyond being "just" professional. He doesn't just fix your bike; he "takes care" of it. He's not just a bicycle repairman; he's a bicycle craftsman who cares more about your bike than you do. Further, he is generous in sharing his time & extensive knowledge about bikes. Even better, I think his prices are very reasonable. And, of course, he stands behind his work. I doubt you'll find this level of personal service at most bike shops. On top of that, he's just a friendly guy

I am a novice with bike maintenance and Robert was wonderful in explaining what needed to happen and how to fix it. He was very patient with me and helped create a bike that I now love to ride.
He was extremely reasonable with pricing and flexible with setting up a drop-off time that worked for me. I picked it up and was astonished at the improvement. Great shop area in his garage and it looks like he has all the tools and loves to do this work.

I've been taking my bikes to Robert for at least six years now. He came highly recommended from an avid cyclist. Robert is amazingly thorough, detailed, and passionate about his work (and cycling). I arrive filled with questions and he has the patience to explain all the pieces and processes for me. Four and a half years ago, I moved to Seattle and I still service my ride at Robert's Bicycle Repair. Check it out!
