The American Academy of Dermatology recommends a full body examination once a year for all ages and skin types. However, if you have had a prior history of skin cancer, you may need to come twice yearly. A full body skin examination is essential in the detection of early skin cancer. Special instruments such as a dermatoscope can aid such early detection.
Medical dermatology is the treatment of skin conditions, such as psoriasis, rosacea, acne, skin cancer, warts, keloids and cysts. The many varieties of skin conditions people suffer each have their own set of causes, symptoms and treatments. Depending on the type of skin condition you may suffer from, your treatment will vary greatly.

We understand that kids are not "little adults". Certain dermatologic conditions are unique to children, and diseases sometimes present differently in children than in adults. Even more importantly, caring for children takes a unique approach that can't be developed by seeing a few pediatric patients.
You must present your valid insurance card, photo ID and referral (if required by your insurance plan) at each visit. Patients are responsible to call in advance to obtain a referral from their primary care physician if required by their insurance company. This should be done prior to your scheduled appointment.

Dr. Brooks is outstanding. He quickly diagnosed numerous/different dermatological issues, gave comprehensive and detailed explanations and a solution for each issue. I truly love this place. Dr. Brooks is amazing and I love how he care so much for your concerns and does everything possible to help you. Recommended by colleagues, this place was great. Dr. Brooks is super friendly and informative. The staff was professional and helpful. Super clean and modern office and exam rooms. The only things I can say would’ve made this visit even more extraordinary than it was already would be: time with the physician felt rushed. Dr. Brooks is a nice, caring, and considerate professional. Both my husband and I saw him this week and we were so happy that our problems had satisfactory solutions. I’ve suffered from severe eczema and vitiligo for most of my life and have seen a number of dermatologists. I can honestly say Dr Brooks is the most thorough and professional dermatologist I’ve seen by far! I wanted to wait until my condition improved in order to write a fair, honest review. I've struggled with my skin for a good portion of my life (thank you genetics) and I can say with confidence that not every individual has an innate talent for dermatology. That being said, not enough good things can be said about Dr. Brooks and his staff. From the moment you walk in, you automatically feel like everything will be okay, even better than okay. Super professional and knowledgeable, I can't recommend Dr. Brooks and his staff enough. I was a little wary coming in during Covid but his office is well managed, they check everyone's temperature on the way in and make sure to maintain social distancing. And as others have noted, the wait time was fine, and when Dr. Brooks saw me he really listened to the issue, came up with a plan, and now, a few weeks and one follow up appointment later, everything is back to normal, putting all my concerns at ease. I came to Dr. Brooks for laser hair removal. Office is looks nice and he answered all my question. However, regarding dermatologist, he's not an expert. But that should be for another review. Find a better dermo. For the medi-spa, When I bought a package of 6 laser hair removals, I was excited. I did my research and all and made sure what I would expect. I've seen so many dermatologists over the last several years for my acne and now after doing my research I have a dermatologist that I am extremely happy with!! Dr. Brooks is not only a skilled dermatologist but also someone who cares about his patients. My husband Matias went here once and he has his wart on his arm and head frozen, but neither was done successfully and now he has three instead of two. We contacted the billing office and then my husband called and even went in person to dispute the charges because the treatment was unsuccessful. The billing department said they couldn't do anything, the front desk staff person was rude and the doctor never responded to our request to have the charge reduced.

I arrived 15 minutes early for appointment, and had virtually no wait time at all! If you've ever been to a dermatologist, you probably know just how rare this is. Everyone in the office, from front desk to PA were all as lovely as could be, and the biggest kudos of all to Dr. Brooks, who was extremely likable and helpful. Im a very difficult patient i ask a millions questions and always on panic mode i have health anxiety

I've been going to Dr Brooks for all my dermatological needs. Initially I came for advice for some occasion acne. Dr Brooks not only took the time to evaluate my skin, he created a regimen that worked perfectly for me. When I developed plantar warts I knew the person to go to. With one treatment everything went away! I'm so happy with the services provided and how knowledgeable and kind the doctor was. The office is very clean and organized. Buyer Beware.....I had an appointment with Dr. Brooks, as a new patient, for a body screen and laser treatment for a spider vein. I actually had an earlier appointment that I needed to cancel and rebook and during both conversations on the phone I was told my insurance would not cover the body screen and I would have to pay $150 out of pocket but that amount would apply to my spider vein therapy. I agreed. When I arrived I had to fill out a stack of paper work, regarding personal medical informations and also a photo copy of my drivers license.
