When I first entered medical school at UT Southwestern, I thought I might specialize in neurology. I quickly realized that my true interests were in psychiatry - not only did psychological theory interest me, I found it to be the field in which doctors have the privilege of getting to know their patients the best.
I see adult patients for medication management, individual psychotherapy, or a combination of both. These appointments last approximately 25 minutes and are mostly focused on initiating or adjusting medication. I often meet with patients at least monthly at the beginning of treatment. Once remission (or substantial improvement) is achieved, appointment frequency can be reduced to every 2-3 months.
If you have additional questions, or would like to schedule an appointment, please contact me. I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not participate in or accept reimbursement from any insurance companies. I accept payment directly at the time of service. However, I do provide billing statements that you can submit to your insurance company.
I am located at the corner of Cambridge Avenue and Birch Street in Palo Alto. If you are driving, there is free street and garage parking throughout the area. If you are taking the Caltrain, my office is a 5-minute walk from the California Ave station. I am currently serving patients throughout the Bay Area, including Palo Alto, Mountain View, Los Altos, Menlo Park, San Francisco, Redwood City, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, and San Jose.
