Jennifer Silverman is a holistic nutritionist who lives in Bethesda, Maryland. As an expert in nutrition and intuitive eating, she takes a 360 approach to empower her clients to take ownership of their eating choices to enrich their lives. Her high-touch approach, warmth and relatability set her apart among her peers.
We make over 300 food-related decisions every day, and every couple of years, a new diet hits the scene, touting itself as the most effective way to reach ultimate health. It's no wonder so many of us are left overwhelmed and confused about our nutrition. Even more so, eating is social, emotionally-driven, and our environment strongly influences our behavior.
Let's face it, making (and growing) a baby is hard work! Our bodies go through an array of changes, and as a result, demand special care and a lot of extra love. Jen works with women at all stages of pregnancy to enhance their nutrition and lifestyle habits, creating an environment conducive to nourishing a tiny human.
Jen believes there is nothing more valuable than feeling comfortable and confident in our own skin. While genetics impact our body composition to some extent, our food and lifestyle choices have an astounding effect on our energy levels, mood, athletic performance, and disease prevention. Jen wants to help her clients look and feel their best, without feeling deprived or frustrated.
Our eating habits and food preferences are ingrained in us from an early age. We develop patterns of eating that can be very challenging to break. Whether it's snacking in front of the television or reaching for a delicious pint of ice cream when work becomes too stressful, turning to food is all too common.

Jen is knowledgeable, patient, nonjudgemental, responsive, caring, prompt, realistic, and fun. I looked forward to our weekly sessions as Jen taught me so much about the foods I eat and the foods I should be eating. She answered all my questions in a clear way that gave me the power to make informed decisions. When I felt unsure of how to handle a certain menu or a choice at the supermarket, I could send her a text or email and receive a quick and helpful response. I went to Jen to help me lose the baby weight after my second child. I've always been very active and healthy but really struggled with getting back to "normal" while caring for a toddler and baby. Jen helped me get back on track and focus on the food I was eating. She helped me be more aware of when I was eating- being sure I was hungry and not just eating because I thought I had to.

I have been working with Jen for several months now. She is FANTASTIC! My challenge was to maintain my nutrition and energy for racing and performance, while trying to stay lean. I wanted to be stronger and faster, and needed nutritional assistance. I ended up leaner than expected, which was so exciting for me to achieve.
