While Acupuncture is often used as a preventative medicine, it is also very effective in the treatment of a number of preexisting medical conditions. Each case is unique and it is important to have a full assessment. Acupuncture works best in conjunction with your regular doctor's treatment plan and it is important you continue to see both your regular physician and your acupuncturist to monitor and manage your ongoing medical concerns.
Emotional well being is an important aspect of overall health. Those who are emotionally healthy are in better control of their thoughts, feelings and behaviors and are better able to cope with various aspects of life, including managing their physical health. Neglecting your emotional health can lead to serious health complications such as heart disease, weakened immune system, asthma, obesity or high blood pressure.
