At Shades Valley Dermatology we offer comprehensive medical dermatology services and a wide array of laser and cosmetic procedures as well. We focus heavily on the treatment of precancerous and cancerous skin lesions, and we develop customized treatment plans with our patients to decrease the number of skin cancers they develop in the long term.

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a medical procedure used to treat precancerous lesions, also called "actinic keratoses", and may also treat early skin cancers. It is typically but not always covered by insurance, and we will give you the information needed to confirm that your specific insurance plan covers this medical procedure.
GentleMax Pro is a dual platform laser made by one of the industry's leaders, Syneron Candela. The GentleMax Pro is a dual platform laser using a 755nm Alexandrite laser and a 1064nm Nd:YAG laser, allowing a wide range of treatment options. In general, you should expect to numb with topical lidocaine for 20-30 minutes prior to your procedure.

I love to visit Shades Valley Dermatology, Dr Flanagan is the best! She is great at what she does, and makes you feel like a million bucks. I’ve gotten treatment for skin cancer and sun damage. Jan, the receptionist is wonderful as well. She went out of her way to help an elderly lady find the correct Dr’s office.
