I was so happy to find a year round RV park with full hook-ups! This park has a beautiful setting! We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed our stay. Our spot was level and a short walk to restroom/laundry. We were in the big rig sites & you do share an electrical pedestal with the person next to you. We didn’t have a neighbor during our stay but it might be a little crowded when the park is at capacity. Overall, we enjoyed our short stay.

We stayed there a couple of years ago and had made reservations at least 6-8 mo prior and had the reservation in writing. It is a very nice and clean place. However, upon arrival we found that they had increased their prices quite a bit. When I questioned this and showed them our reservation and quoted price for our stay they just shrugged their shoulders and said well it’s the RV way. We have never been confronted with this at other campgrounds. Will we stay there again? Probably yes. But it did leave blemish on our stay there.

We stayed three nights here and were very pleased. Upon arrival a staff person met us and excortrx us to our pull-through site we never even had to get out and go through the usual check in process (pretty nice perk!).
The staff are all super friendly and helpful. There were bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Although the spaces are a bit close together, we had ample space and plenty of length. A little added touch is that you get to hear and see the Durango steam locomotives as they pass.
This RV resort will not disappoint you.

I would've given a zero if I could their policy is no refunds for cancellations or changes in your reservation. They stole $69 from me, because of dental and mechanical issues we were unable to keep our reservation. The reservation cancellation was made with 25 days notice they should've returned my deposit terrible terrible policy very consumer unfriendly. All they have succeeded in doing is creating an un-customer I will never use this park.

From the moment we pulling in, the extra services they provide were a great surprise. Someone guided up to our campsite and helped us back in. One of our propane tanks ran out during our stay, we were told to leave at the front of our trailer, left for a day of adventure, and came back to a filled tank. Our kids loved the volleyball net and Tetherball. Guest services provided recommendations on activities and great recommendations. We had a wonderful 4 nights at Alpen Rose! Watch the dog on the south fence, Molly, we are told she was nice but tried to bite our son.

We've been here so many times over the past 6 years, lovely. BUT... the prices have gotten stupid and then they want a $50 site lock fee, after they have given you a reservation with a site.... We will not come back after paying for a premium site and getting a junk site. We are staying way off season but are not treated well.

Great RV Campground! The staff works hard to keep the grounds looking great, to include the bathrooms and laundry room.
We enjoyed the pizza at night - a nice option after a long day out and about! The sites seemed closed when we checked in, but they are spaced so we had enough space around us.
The campground is close to Durango, but out far enough to allow for great views of the mountains, and very quiet at night.
We will be back to Alpen Rose in the future.

GREAT RV PARK!! Very clean! I watched the worker spray down every part of the site after the people left. Beautiful flowers planted everywhere and nice fishing pond. Provides big mature trees and clean restrooms/showers. Nice pool and amazing location. Super close to town but far enough out in country to have some peace and quiet. Wonderful friendly staff. Would for sure go back!

We had a reservation here on 8/20/21, but due to mechanical problems and sitting on the side of the road for hours, we were not able to get there. Tried to call but since the office closes at 4, I contacted the owner first thing in the morning. When I explained our situation to the owner and asked her if we could switch our reservation to that night, she said no and was very unsympathetic about all that we had been through. Not only was she unsympathetic, but she was downright nasty.
Got a reservation at an RV park a little ways down the road that was just lovely; The spaces are much further

Easy booking & check-in! We were escorted to our spot via golf cart; the gentleman offered suggestions on how best to park. Quiet, nestled back away from the main road with lots of shade trees. There is some food on site (pizza & breakfast), but we unfortunately didn’t get to try it. We only stayed 1 night, but would definitely return!

Such a well run RV Park we added an extra night there. Plenty of shaded spots. Best park we stayed in this summer. There is always someone friendly available to answer questions or help. Delicious home cooked breakfast offerings, spotless facilities, nice little store. Very convenient to Durango. Only negative was wifi did not work, so just use your cell service.

We were greeted at the stop sign by a nice man who checked us in and then escorted us to our pull through space. This is a really nice RV park. Plenty of shade, level gravel lots, very well maintained and lots of amenities: breakfast, pizza, laundry, dog park, and small pool.
WiFi is a bit problematic but almost every RV park we go to has this problem.
Close to Durango and on the way to Silverton.
Would definitely stay here again.

I ment to write this a while ago. We recently stayed at this RV park. It was our first time in our travel trailer and we got so lucky they had an opening for us at the end of June. It was amazing. The views, the dog park, the services they provided were better than I could have expected! Our dogs loved the 2 acre dog park! They could be off leash and when no one else was in there- they could run and run everywhere. It was the first time we have done anything like this and I must say the guests were also wonderful for putting up with our over protective pups. We kept them on the leash around

This spot was absolutely beautiful during our winter visit! Even without some of the cool amenities (trout fishing pond and cafe), which were closed for the season, it was still a wonderful place. The huge dog park was great for our pups to play in the snow! Judy was always quick to reply and helped us out at the end of our stay. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're in southern CO.

Alpen Rose is a very nice RV park. The lots are spacious for my 20' R pod and we loved the stream outside our sleeping area. The dog run is at least 2 acres and our two dogs loved being able to run freely. Showers are clean and staff makes sure each site is ready for the next guess but sanitizing the tables and making sure things are orderly. The location is great as it is close to Durango and you can easily do day trips to Pagosa Springs, Silverton, and Ouray. We will hit Telluride next time!
My only complaint is about the fishing pond. It could be a really great thing for kids but

I took my first ever RV vacation solo with my two daughters to Alpen Rose in Durango. As a newbie RVer, I was very nervous but excited. The staff at Alpen Rose was friendly, experienced, and helpful. When I had trouble figuring our how to hook up the RV properly, the staff was helpful, patient, and kind. My daughters loved the pool and the playground. The laundry, restrooms and showers were clean. We loved the store, it was super convenient. Thanks for a fun week, we will definitely be back!

This place is absolutely horrible. The managers are rude. You can't have fun. You are watched on the clock 247. The only good thing about this place is the dog park. The manager drove by our campsite and looked around and was like when can I mow the lawn ? Like really we are camping and don't want to drag grass in our camper. Also I felt like everytime we did something we had to get permission. I don't recommend this place at all.

This RV resort is in a beautiful area just outside of Durango. We were greeted at a gate and escorted to our campsite. We had to pull through site for our travel trailer and hook ups were easy. We had a nice grassy area near our site. They have a 2 acre off leash dog area which was amazing. They have a nice pool and outdoor fire pit area. The best thing about this park was that they have an on-site kitchen which prepares barbecue meals, breakfast, pizza. The pizza was amazing! They even delivered our food directly to our campsite via their golf carts. It was so awesome! The stars in the sky the

The view was amazing. Nestled beneath beautiful mountains.
It's a bit outside town, but all drives are beautiful up/out here.
Large rock/gravel sites, easy to pull through. Plenty of space in between.
We were pulling a 25 foot long trailer with a car and motorcycles in it and they were very accommodating to us with where to park it. Especially considering we arrived so late, due to engine trouble. They came out with flashlights and helped us get the trailer situated.
Don't know how much trouble the park gets for this, but the other campers were great too. Some sort of folks musicians
