Kintsugi Collaborative Counseling
Kintsugi is the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken objects together with gold, making them stronger and more beautiful; Human nature is inherently accompanied by contradiction, and it takes a lot of courage to be honest with yourself and seek help around this. Your personal desires likely conflict at times with what is expected by your family, career and/or community.

There may be a discrepancy around who you understand yourself to be, your diagnosis and how others perceive you. Between a child's desire to explore and their want to please their parents or teachers; between freedom and commitment. All of this is actually completely normal, but can be difficult to understand or tolerate, especially in a society where so much emphasis is placed on looking good.
Services
I initially started studying psychology for the same reason most people do; to better understand my own circumstances and the world around me. Over the years I have had the privilege of joining people from all walks of life on similar journeys and find the process fascinating and rewarding every time.
Mindfulness can be described simply as being present, which can be very useful when attempting to change patterns and thoughts. There are many ways to incorporate this into therapy, ranging from guided meditation, to grounding exercises to just noticing and learning to disrupt harmful thoughts and behavioral patterns.
Currently, I am not taking insurance. I charge $110 for a 50 minute individual session, and $140 for families and couples, but I am willing to discuss a sliding scale. Many insurance companies will reimburse part or full cost for outside of network psychotherapy providers, and I am happy to provide an itemized bill to that end.

The intake form asks for some background information that will be helpful in our work together, as well as a signature indicating you have read and understand the contract. Please feel free to print these out and bring them to your first meeting or email them to save some time, or they can be available when you first come in.

I look forward to every time I meet with Ms. Lukashev. She's been an amazing therapist that has left me clear headed after every visit. I can't say enough good things about her practice. Her home office is very welcoming, as well as her puppy, Sterling. I'm very grateful for the ear she's been able to lend me throughout numerous personal challenges.

Ms. Lukashev is an amazing therapist. Every time I leave her office, I feel a sense of relief and renewed energy. She's been a trusted confidant for years, and has helped me through a handful of difficult times. Her office is very welcoming and serene, as well. I cannot recommend her enough.
