Larry and Taylor Long began running The Old Jail Bed and Breakfast in the spring of 2019. Larry is a Minnesota native from St. Paul and has been taken with the Taylor's Falls area for years. Taylor is from a small town in Montana, and since moving to Minnesota a few years ago has fallen in love with the area as well.

We are thrilled for the opportunity to run this business in such a great town and raise our family here. We hope everyone who enters feels right at home and has a cozy, comfortable, and relaxing retreat from everyday life.
Services
The Village of Taylors Falls and the surrounding area has something for just about everyone. Bikers and leaf chasers along with everybody else flock to this area throughout the summer to enjoy it's natural beauty. Just a short one hour drive from the Twin Cities, but you'l want to stay a night or two to take everything in.
Our bed and breakfast is located in the heart of Taylors Falls on the hill overlooking downtown and the scenic river valley. It's situated next to the oldest public schoolhouse in Minnesota and across the street from the old train depot. At the top of the hill is The Historic Angel Hill District, a New England-style village that is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

I stayed in the jail which is a standalone building nextdoor to the main building. It has a nice kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave, sink and basic dishes. There is a Keurig with decent selection of coffee (no decaf) too. The living room area is pretty cozy with a unobtrusive flat screen TV. The bathroom can serve its purpose but don't expect to have more than one person at a time in there as it's pretty small.
The bedroom is upstairs with one nightstand and a light. You have just enough room for a couple bags up there. The bedding is pretty comfy, even for a colder November day, though the

Stayed a weekend with girlfriend, absolutely coming back. Owners were pretty cool and respectful, breakfast was homemade and really good. Stayed in red building with loft style, pretty cozy with lots of character. Right there in walking distance to everything in town too.

Booked for my daughter's wedding. Spent some time in it while getting ready. Very cute, adorable and staff was friendly and responsive to requests and/or issues.

We are so glad we decided to stay at the Old Jail bed and breakfast for a few days after our wedding. The cave suite is such a fun, unique room. We really enjoyed that it includes a kitchen and air jet tub. The owners were so friendly and accommodating. Taylor helped us immediately with the few questions we had and served us a fantastic breakfast each morning. On top of all that, it’s within walking distance to Interstate State Park. Thank you!! We can’t wait to visit again!

We loved our stay at the Old Jail! It's in a great location in beautiful Taylors Falls. The decor is wonderful and they've done a nice job with the place. We really like that it was private. The outdoor patio was really great. It's peaceful and has a terrific view. The kitchenette is nice with the fridge, stove, sink and microwave. The space is very good size, so for the price this place is a great value.
Breakfast was delicious. It was a nice portion of french toast with strawberries, eggs, bacon and orange juice. Everything was cooked and prepared wonderfully and delivered at the time we asked

We had a wonderful stay in "The Cave." Both breakfasts were very tasty and served like we were at an upscale hotel. We loved the view over the river valley. I plan to stay here again. Communication was excellent, decor was well done.

Their Facebook page won’t let me leave a comment. But anyway, we were there for Sunday to Monday..we regretted booking that short time. We had a very great stay in the Cave Room. Fall colors, historical museums, restaurants, mini golf, boat rides, etc...all within walking distance. The hot tub is amazing btw...we decided to make this a tradition every fall: to stay in this place to get away from our busy lives and stressful jobs. It is very worth it!

Stayed in the actual jail cabin of the Old Jail B&B, and it was awesome! Loved the cozy little cabin with an iron jailhouse door on the front door. Very nice facilities all things considered; this isn't a big chain hotel, but that's why you're here--lots of character here, but everything is very clean and nice, too. Breakfast delivered to the room was a excellent touch as well--and delicious!

My daughter treated me to a night at Jail B & B for my birthday. It was just a bonus that it's history includes some ghostly stories. Never cared much for B & B's, due to having to share meals and bathroom with other guests. Not the case here, at a reasonable rate you'll enjoy massive suites with private everything...and a fantastic homemade breakfast brought to your room. We stayed in the Overlook suite...clean, remarkable attention to each room, full kitchen, bathroom, etc. We were greeted and treated very warmly by owner and staff. It was amazing...thanks again to Jail B & B....and my daughter
