Airy Psychotherapy & Wellness offers a monthly peer supervision group for licensed clinical social workers and masters level clinicians to discuss clinical cases in this peer led format. Please call Lenore Jefford at 610-442-9459 for cost and more information. Mt. Airy Psychotherapy & Wellness has several experienced clinicians who are available to provide clinical supervision.
What is Psychotherapy? Psychotherapy (also known as counseling, talk therapy, or simply therapy) is a general term used to describe talking to a trained professional about conditions ranging from depression and anxiety to relationship conflicts and career frustrations. Therapy is an interpersonal, relational experience that provides a safe space to express personal thoughts and struggles.
Genie has been working as a community social worker and psychotherapist for the past 15 years. She specializes in helping people work through depression, anxiety, parenting issues and interpersonal conflicts. Genie thinks of herself as a "practical kind of therapist."

She predominantly uses cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients change negative thinking patterns, develop healthier choices and learn better communication skills for their relationships.Genie graduated from Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research and has completed post-graduate training at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in cognitive behavioral therapy.
