Columbus Martial Arts Academy

CMAA is home, this is by far the best martial arts school I’ve ever had the pleasure of being a student. Every class is engaging the coaches all legit care about the students. I’ve dealt with injuries to my ankles for years prior to starting classes and day one coach Steve worked around them. It is a great environment that promotes the art in martial arts. Coach Sami is a real master of his craft extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend this class to anyone of any age or physical condition . You will be pushed to be your best self .

Sami and all the people at this gym I feel have your back, I feel safe and I'm learning so much so fast! Unity, teamwork, healing, learning, growing!

(Edited/Updated 12/12/19) I've been training here for two years now and the only bad thing about this academy is that it's not open more than it already is!
This place is home to great, true martial artists who are always open-minded and focused on learning and growing as a team. Professor Sami is an amazing teacher who has great knowledge and always goes above and beyond any Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu teacher ever would.
Professor Sami and assistant coaches Ryan and Steve are wonderful people who care about meeting your goals. Don't expect to find the same thing anywhere else in the area- I'm serious

I've taken several self defense classes at other locations in the past.... I've never learned this much and such good, practical techniques! Great group of people too!

Well, this place is addicting! I started out taking women's self-defense, but now also come to Muay Thai and nogi open mats. I was a bit nervous at first with no prior martial arts experience.... but everyone here is friendly and supportive. It really feels like family, and I look forward to coming any chance I get. We get world-class instruction from Coach Sami. He truly cares about each person here. The kids classes

We have been coming here a little over a year now, my daughter loves the place. Coach Sami and Coach Ryan are great with the kids, it keeps us coming back every week. The entire staff here is very helpful and create a great atmosphere for everyone.

I joined up with the gym close to a year ago not having any martial arts background before. The very first day I came and watched I felt at home. The coaches to everyone training made me feel immediately welcomed and willing to help not only myself grow but other people around grow ! Not just in a martial art aspect but as people. 10/10 would recommend this gym to anyone looking to pick up a martial art and be around genuine people !

I've been training here off and on for years now I've seen this place change so much. Coach Sami has completely redone the gym and it all around has a much better vibe. Cleaned every night after class. The coaching is excellent for adults and kids. I highly recommend this place.

My kids have been training here since 2012. I tried other schools and found that The Columbus Martial Arts Academy had the best instruction under Coach Sami. He is a great friend who gives all of his students more than their money's worth with the best rates around. Great team! Feels like family.

This is a wonderful place ! My kids and I have been coming here for almost 5 years now, it is a great family environment. All of the instructors are very kind and informative. The Bully Prevention Program has been great for my kids, it taught them how to communicate and how to de escalate a situation in an assertive respectful manner. This program helped my daughter regain her self esteem and has helped my son escape tight situations. I take the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class which not only teaches me something new but is great exercise.

I have been going to Columbus MMA/Caique Jiu-Jitsu for a little over a year on and off. It's a great place to train and is the best training I have ever had. Coach Sami is an awesome instructor who truly cares about your progression not only in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu but in life as well. The price is unbeatable, especially when your instructor earned his black belt directly from Master Caique.
