The Family Child Care System is an Organized Placement and Support System for the Care of Children 2 Months to 12 Years. The Cole-Harrington Family Child Care System contracts with Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) licensed family childcare educators in 30 towns located in Bristol, Norfolk and Plymouth counties.

Family child care educators offer a safe, supervised, nurturing "home away from home" setting for young children 2 months to 12 years of age. Children have the opportunity to interact with a small group of children within a supportive and stimulating environment. Educators are required to follow the High Scope Curriculum that promotes children's development and prepares them for school.
Services
Parents/Guardians are viewed as the most important influence in their children's lives. We maintain regular communication with parents/guardians and hold parent conferences throughout the year. We also facilitate parent/educator advisory meetings and annual community events.

Educator screening; child care consultation; developmental screening; substitute care; parent support and education; in-depth regular progress reports; informational parent newsletter; cultural sensitivity; parent/educator advisory meetings; transportation services for eligible families; annual family picnic and fundraiser; and advocacy support for additional family/child services.
The Family Child Care staff will conduct monthly home visits. Home visitors offer consultation and support to educators, conduct assessment of children with educators at least two times a year, and provide an opportunity for educators to discuss child care related concerns. Cole-Harrington staff will also conduct activities with the children.
Teens With Tots is a Comprehensive Program of Support and Child Care for Teen Parents and their Children. Teens With Tots (TWT) offers support services and child care services to thirteen teen parents and their children. Support services are provided by a mental health clinician and include bi-weekly psycho-educational support groups, monthly parent child activity sessions, and weekly or bi-weekly individual counseling.
