Quincy After School Child Care (QCARE), Inc. is a non-profit organization providing licensed care for school aged children, kindergarten through thirteen years old. We are an affordable school age program, providing care within the elementary schools. Created by former Mayor Francis X. McCauley and the Mayor's Commission on The Status of Women, we started operation in 1987 with one program which served thirteen children in the Montclair School.

QCARE's carefully crafted after school programs provide a safe and enjoyable setting for school-aged children to build friendships, play games and sports, work on homework, and engage in a variety of creative projects and enriching activities. A daily curriculum is planned to meet the needs of the individual, as well as the group.

QCARE offers after school enrichment programs for children who are in kindergarten through age thirteen. Our programs operate as soon as school is dismissed (including early release days) until 5:30pm, providing nurturing care and opportunities for educational fun and social play each afternoon. We offer services at nine Quincy Elementary Schools and can support some middle school students at those locations on a case-by-case basis.

Tuition Scholarship Grants may be available to qualifying families for after school programs. Other fees, including a late pick-up fee, failed payment/bounced check fee and late payment charge are highlighted in the Parent/Guardian Contract section of your child application. Bi-weekly tuition payments and fees are collected via an online billing system called EZ-EFT.
