My husband Dennis and I run "Bounds Horse Haven Sanctuary", plus have dogs as pets as well. We have depended on the Animal Health Center to care for all our animals. We have several different breeds of horses and dogs coming to our rescue with various health issues. We love Dr. Berger and his wonderful friendly staff!
At Animal Health Center, we provide safe and effective tail docking services to help prevent tail damage and maintain hygiene, while supporting your dog's compliance with specific breed standards. Tail docking surgery for dogs is ideally performed when your puppy is between 3-5 days of age, varying by breed and relative size of puppies at birth and is generally performed at the breeder's request.
We recommend a comprehensive physical exam at our animal clinic annually, to ensure your pet is receiving the best medical attention and is on schedule for appropriate pet vaccinations to maintain optimal health. Our doctors perform a full physical examination of your pet, evaluating closely all the body systems, including the teeth, ears, abdomen, heart, lungs and more or as some like to say, " a nose to tail examination."
When a pet goes missing, ID tags are never a sure bet. Collars can fall or tear off, leaving your pet without an ID tag, and would-be thieves can simply remove identifying accessories. Missing pet signs and online posts are another important way to search for missing pets, but again, these methods can only reach so many eyes.

We love the folks here! They genuinely care about our pets and what is best for them. We've been to other vet practices in our area, these folks are by far the very best.

I'm a recent transplant to the area and am so glad I found the Animal Health Center! My bassets have each been seen by Dr Berger and Dr Smith. I was very impressed by the attentive staff, ease of getting an appointment, and cleanliness of the facility. There are also three amazingly chill house cats that greeted us! During each visit, the vets were thorough and took plenty of time with us. I have confidence that my dogs will be well cared for here.
