Our telecommunications system is quite advanced. Our main number is answered 94% of the time by a caring receptionist within 5 rings. After hours, you are given the option to press a button in emergency and your call is automatically routed to the on-call doctor's cell phone. No answering service delays!
We will make every effort to offer you an appointment on the same day that you request. This is especially true if your problem is of an urgent nature. We will try to schedule you with your own physician whenever possible to ensure continuity of care. Please call at least 24 hours in advance to cancel an appointment.
If you participate with an HMO and are referred to a specialist, all you need to call our managed care department 24/7 with your appointment date. You may leave your message on the referral voice mail including your name with spelling, date of birth, name of specialist you will be seeing, location of the office, the appointment date, the type of insurance you have, and a daytime phone number.
Please call ahead to schedule a convenient time for a blood draw. This will limit the amount of waiting time to have it done. If it is to be done fasting, do not eat for 8-12 hours before having it drawn. It is encouraged that you have non-calorie liquids like water or black coffee during this time to avoid dehydration.

Dr. Shively has been my family physician for almost 10+ years. He is the best and kindest, most understanding person Ive ever met. Very genuine guy. They do not judge you based on what you’re going through. They are here to help and thats what they love to do, help others. Everybody in the office and all of the Nurses are immaculate and I could not ask for better.

I was able to get an appointment quickly and once I arrived at the office I was again very quickly taken to my treatment room. I was there to get the Covid-19 booster and was in and out very quickly. Everyone I encountered were very professional and pleasant. The office is very clean and their protocol for keeping potential Covid patients in the "parking lot lobby" makes those of us who are not sick feel very safe not being seated in the same waiting room areas.

Dr. Scheuerman's diagnosis of my back/hip pain was right on, and her osteopathic adjustment was great. I will see her again for a few more treatments, but I already have a DRAMATIC decrease of pain while walking. Plus, my posture at the computer is improved. It had seemed like such a struggle to sit up straight before.

I saw Hannah Boike, NP for my annual physical as a new patient and she was great! My appointment was on time and she listened to my concerns. They also have lab technicians there to do the bloodwork on the spot and she was also very good- got my vein on the first try and didn’t hurt at all. Definitely recommend!

Met with Dr Shively today for my yearly routine physical exam. As always, I left there feeling good knowing that any and all health related questions/concerns that I had were answered/addressed. My husband and I have both been going to Dr Shively for many years. He is more thorough than any doctor that I’ve personally ever gone to. That is something that I appreciate and feel very confident about; that nothing is missed.

Dr. Scheurman is great and all the people at the desk are very friendly. I started going to her when she was recommended to me by a colleague who was also experiencing back pain - the manipulations were a much better alternative than the chiropractor I had been going to. She's now become my primary physician. Between the regular practice and the urgent care, I can get in when I need to. Would highly recommend!

Great first experience at PrimeCare! The wait time after my arrival was minimal. Dr. Scheuerman created a comfortable, trusting atmosphere as she performed my yearly physical. As a new patient, she took time to get to know me, and I felt her genuine interest in understanding me and my health habits and history. I appreciated her positive and friendly bedside manner. Dr. Scheuerman is the best doctor! She shows empathy and genuinely cares about me as a patient. The office is always efficient, and when you go there regularly for a work-related injury, it's important. I don't live in Novi, but it's worth the drive to use their connected urgent care. All your information is linked, and the staff there are courteous.

Called to make a nurse appointment for an injection. Receptionist put me on hold and never came back. Called a few more times and got bounced to voice mail. Finally left a message...got a call the next day. Now, I am sitting in the office, having waited over 1/2 hour ( first appointment of the day) to see the nurse. Not acceptable.

My 12 month old was seen here last week due to eye discharge. They prescribed eye drops. At his pediatrician the next day, we were informed that he did not have an eye infection, but a horrible ear infection. When the office contacted me this week to ask how my son was doing, I informed them of the misdiagnosis and said that I would appreciate a call from the physician. He called me at 8:30 pm, was extremely condescending, and said that they treated my child for the symptoms he was brought in for. That they did check his ears, but did not mention what was seen there and that illnesses can progress

The Phone service and Helpdesk crew are very polite and nice towards patient. Those ladies are giving a great feeling about the clinic. Although the doctors are different story... The doctors are tending to give you diagnosis without actually testing You first. DR. Z diagnosed me with 'allergy' when I stated that is not allergy since my pain is located on left side of my throat. The doctor was actually upset that I am questioning his diagnosis. I've been coming here a few years now when I moved out to this area! Every time I need to schedule a appointment they get me in that week! Today I called to set up an appointment and got me in 2 hours later! Where as at U of M I have to wait 2-3 weeks to get an appointment.. The staff and nurses are great, very friendly!! I never have a long wait time either!! Dr.Shively is an amazing doctor! He's professional and personable!! He truly cares about his patients and knows his stuff! I'd defiantly recommend primecare of novi to anyone I know!

My primary physician was Dr.Zaid, and I've also been seen by Dr. Wolocko and Dr.Shively before.
I will NEVER go back to Dr.Zaid nor recommend him to my friends and family.
Both Dr. Wolocko and Dr. Shively were kind, professional and mostly importantly, willing to listen to the patient and answer questions.

1st visit for my daughter with Dr. Shively and my husband and her were extremely impressed. He is thorough, caring and diagnosed her correctly. She is already feeling better and I got a voicemail today from his office from a staff member "checking up on her" which is customer service all the way! I've been a patient of Prime Care for over 20 years now so it's way past time I wrote my review. It was Dr. Shively whose diagnostics alerted me to a potentially life-threatening form of cancer which was overcome thanks to early discovery. Both Dr. Shively and Dr. Zaid are top notch physicians who really show they care by their actions. Although Dr. Shively is a marathon runner, his whole staff-from the front office, the medical assistants and the doctors on staff "go the extra 10K" to provide care you won't find at most providers today. I owe the quality of life I enjoy

I visited PrimeCare two days ago to get a prescription for Flonase. I had never been there before and was traveling with my family from Florida. I called ahead after finding them in the ads section when I searches Walk-In clinics on google. I called ahead and was informed that I would be seen right away if I could get there soon. The check in process was fast and friendly. The doctor was as well. What surprised me MOST was what happened today, Sunday, not to mention Father's Day. At 10:30 am I received a phone call from Ashley at PrimeCares office as a follow up to see if I was feeling better

I came to see the doctors at PrimeCare of Novi by accident. I actually put a nail in my hand and did not have insurance. They not only saw me, but didn't make money an issue. I will go back there again and especially once I get insurance. The staff was really nice and was talking me through the whole process.
