I've been temping for 29 years. I used to be a photographer, so I did that as backup. Now I'm changing directions professionally. I was hoping to continue temping, but the whole temp industry has gone to hell in a hand basket.

I haven’t yet secured employment with this company, but what I’ve experienced with them thus far has been great! The owner, Helen, is very personable and really takes an interest in your needs. This place was awful. After submitting my resume, I called to see if I could talk with a recruiter. I spoke with someone on the phone, and she asked me a few questions about where I work, and what I'm looking for. I answered just that, and then she asked me "Oh, your job doesn't have any opportunities there?" EXCUSE ME, if it did I wouldn't be calling you!! Needless to say, I never heard from them after that, I never called them after that.

I was contacted by this company regarding a job that they said would be PERFECT for me. After 30 minutes on the phone, I was promised a call back within the next day or two, to set up an interview. I was told that I'd definitely be one of the (if not the only) best candidates that they'd be recommending to their client.

these women are nasty. I temped for them and had an assignment with a break where the company president was going on vacation. I had a regular assignment and was told it would continue when the president came back. The man went on vacation and I never head back from them. No explanation, nothing. Very rude and unprofessional. If you want to work temps, go elsewhere.

These guys were awesome. I have worked with 2 other agencies in the city. The others seemed to be so big that you could easily get lost in the shuffle. Also, they had issues placing me because I have "too much experience."
If you're just starting out in the workforce you'll have an easier time elsewhere. Hire Standard recruits for more senior positions rather than admin and clerical. Two days after I went to their office I had an interview and now sadly I am gainfully employed again.
