I had a very pleasant experience at James Lai Dentistry! I had a cleaning and a wisdom tooth removal done so far, and the staff and doctors made me feel comfortable and taken care of. I don't like doing this but I feel like I need to. Went for an apt. Was asked series of questions due to Covid. I said I had NO symptoms but that I had already had it but since then had tested negative since May! N that I was fine! The front desk told me to go sit down in a room for X-rays then dr came to ask me about Covid again & asked how I was I said I'm fine I'm negative and he came to tell me that I should leave and come back in 2 weeks to see how I'm feeling. This place is just amazing. No matter who helps me during my visit, I always know I will be taken care. Regardless if it's Dr. Lai or Dr. Goh that sees me for the day, I always know I'm in good hands. Today, a dental hygienist named Diana did my general cleaning. And let me tell you, that was probably the best cleaning I've ever had. If you don't go to this place for your general dental needs, I highly recommend you making the switch :-)

My experience at Dr. Lai’s office Is always a pleasant one. His staff greets me when I walk in the door with a smile and takes me back to the exam room usually with very little , if any, wait time.

The office staff seem nice enough. I have medi-cal, so I never feel valued as a patient. The technician Michelle was very nice. Dr Lai is ok, he doesn't really tell you what he's about to do or what he is doing. I like to know what's going on inside my mouth. Just lowers the chair or starts flossing without any notice. I like my Dr to say, ok now I'm lowering your chair. It was startling. The cleaning did not seem very thorough, and took less time than the 18 or so x-rays they took. Very Unsatisfactory service. I will not recommend any friend or family member to James Lai's dental office. I had never experienced such bad teeth cleaning service until now. I was very unhappy and on my follow up appointment, I requested better teeth cleaning. I was told by the female dentist to wait since there was another appointment waiting for a checkup and will be back shortly. I've been going to Dr. Lai's office since December 2016. I researched several dentists in my area and decided to call his office, Dianne helped me and explained my insurance dental benefits, I scheduled my first appointment the following week and started my new dental experience with someone that actually cares for his patients and resolves their concerns. Love these guys. I'm always in and out and so far I've had two visits and they have both been great. Had my teeth cleaned and was not pressured into paying for a deep cleaning like all these other dentists that deny basic cleaning covered by insurance because they are trying to swindle you out of your money. I have been seeing Dr.Lai for about 13-14 years since I was about 10 years old. I began visiting Dr.Lai with bad experiences from other dental practices, and I had an extremely strong fear of needles. I just can't say enough great things about Dr. Lai and his staff. Super friendly people. Great for adults and kids. My favorite thing about Dr. Lai is that he won't push for unnecessary dental work or surgery. I had the 2 dentists at my child's last office pushing for what appeared to be an extensive surgical procedure. Dr. Lai said my child MAY need that but not for another 2 years and that time period may prove it to be completely unnecessary. He also put it in terms of how he would treat his own child. Wow! Love him! And I love Diane at the front desk. She is very sweet
