Master Stylist, Stephen Hananel, has been the proud owner of Salon Stephan for over 17+ years and though this salon has been a staple in the Bellaire community for some time, this Houstonian's profession as a stylist began much earlier. It was at the tender age of 14 when Stephen discovered his talent for transforming an individual's look through hair.
Our friendly personal approach to a classic haircut and blowdry is sure to leave you looking beautiful. Taking into account your face shape, lifestyle and hair texture is the main priority during your consultation. Our trained professionals will trim, shave or cut your hair to compliment your face and enhance your natural features.
Please note that we are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Appointments submitted online are not completed until a member of our staff contacts you to confirm the date and time and finalize the appointment. I've been getting my haircut here for the past 15 years. I followed Steve as he's grown and moved to better areas throughout the years. He has a special talent with color blends and the hair cuts are nothing short of excellence. I've had my hair cut by others there and the entire staff is professionally skilled courteous and warm.

Went in with an idea of getting my girlfriends hair colored if they had it and wouldn't take long but after waiting for around 30 minutes while a free employee walked around ignoring us we started to feel discouraged of the place.
Eventually was asked if we needed help and after a very short consultation of under 2 minutes mostly being told the color would fade even if that wasn't the concern nor question as we've colored her hair before and knew that. From this we got the feeling that we weren't really wanted there and gave up on the consultation going anywhere and left.

This is a high style salon with a personal, down-to-earth touch. Stephan is a master at his craft. He will steer you away from mistakes, and he let's you know up front what to expect, both in terms of results and cost. Another great experience at Salon Stephan. I attempted many times to get back to my natural straight hair on my own. My hair looked damaged, dull, and my ends were way frizzier than the rest of my hair.
Leticia did a consultation with me and explained in great detail of what I was doing wrong and what would work for me to get back on the track of healthy flattering hair. I can't believe she achieved it all in one day.

I am a new client and my experience yesterday was very positive. What I appreciated was that Stephan was very realistic with what I wanted and he let me know all the possibilities on what can be done to ensure that I was happy. He was very gentle with my fine,tangled hair. He took his sweet time and even stayed an hour after closing time to make sure that my hair was perfect. Lastly, he told me to come back if I find any problems with my hair which shows excellent customer service. I will be coming back!

I had my hair cut about 5 months ago and it was a total disaster. Saturday, while driving I asked my daughter to look for a Hair Salon,and she found Salon Stephan. We decided to walk-in and it was the one of best decision I have ever made. Stephen knew exactly what to do to fix the horrible mess I had...loving my haircut & back color. Definitely coming back

Had an appointment to get my hair cut. Had coupon to try them out for free since we got this in the mail. Drove 20 min from work to get hair done. Stephan was not there. They called him and he said he was on way. Waited 10 min and then found out he was sick and was not coming to work. Wasted my time and could have just called me to cancel in advance and I would have been ok with this. But to have me drive over there and not show up is plain rude. Think I will keep my hair guy and drive out to see him. Forget neighborhood salon!

In addition, I have seen him correct messes created by other hairdressers both of cuts and color clients while I've been waiting for my color to process.
I would recommend him to anyone who is not bald.
