Services
Our mission is to accord all students with rich experiences, a rigorous curriculum, respect, and appreciation of the fine arts through music performances; to be lifelong stewards of musicality. In the Music Department, our goal is to prepare young adults for the real world through teamwork, discipline, respect, appreciation, and humbleness.
The Marching Band is a group of performers that consist of instrumental musicians and dance teams/color guard who typically perform outdoors and incorporate marching and other movements with their musical performance. Performances include parades, festivals, competitions, field shows, and football games.
The Concert Band is one of our four ensembles. Although instrumentation is similar to the Marching Band, its primary function serves as a concert ensemble. Various repertoires include original wind compositions, arranged classical pieces, light music, and popular tunes. Instrumentation consists of several members of the woodwind, brass, and percussion instrument family.
Through the effort of some very dedicated parents, The Friends of LHS Music Booster Club is finally a non-profit organization! For current members and their parents, there is a Facebook group (private) that you can request to join. On it are IMPORTANT announcements, videos, articles and assignments.
