You can check the terms of any auction by going to the auction page's Documents tab. Here is a sample Auction Terms document. You will be given a set of printed terms when you register at the auction, and the auctioneer will also announce the terms of the sale at the beginning of the auction. If you have any questions, call us at 855-353-1100 or talk to any Key personnel at the auction.
A "Preview Day" is almost always provided prior to the auction to give bidders an opportunity to inspect the goods to be auctioned. Use the opportunity to do your own evaluation and inspection. Remember, you are buying the items "AS IS" with no guarantees from the seller or auctioneer. The risk that an item is not exactly what you wanted should be considered when you decide how much to bid.
Once you have created an account, you will need to register with for each auction that you plan to bid with. This will take you to the catalog showing each item with a picture and a description. They are separate registrations. You only need register online if you are planning to bid online or it is an online only auction.

Horrible experience with one of their employees and then the owner's response. Their auction website clearly states that wearing masks are "strongly recommended". Their employee, Anthony Griffith, thinks of himself as a social warrior and demands that everyone wears a mask even though that goes against the company policy. Anthony was extremely rude and arrogant. I wouldn't give this company one cent let alone bid and pay their exorbitant 18% buyers premium.

I recently had an excellent experience with Key Auctioneers. In advance of the auction, they quickly replied to my inquiry in the detail that I needed. They also arranged for a convenient time for me to pick-up my winnings. Lastly, they provided extraordinary help in assisting me with loading the large map cabinet. Kevin was professional and courteous in every way. I look forward to participating in more of their auctions in the future.

Key has the highest buyers premium in the area, yet they post the worst pictures and the vaguest descriptions possible. I have spent $1000.s' at their sales and on at least two occasions walked away with not a single item that worked. If you are going to bid at their auctions assume the worst and don't expect them to be honest.

BOOK BUYERS BEWARE
My experience, for books at least, is that one of the auctioneers will go through them ahead of time (before the auction) and take the most valuable ones for himself. He is pictured in the blue polo and beige khakis, but I won't name him personally. This isn't a review of him, although I did deal with him. When asked if the books were picked through he said "well of course I went through them, I've evaluated over 250000 books". As a professional and active book seller himself, he should know that is deceptive to take the books with the best resale value for himself and auction

The owner did respond and was able to answer the question that was asked. I am glad that they responded.
Not sure why this company is in business I asked one simple question of an item and there was no attempt to answer it. The response was immediately sent out that said they could not answer it. Also I asked about a preview day and was rudely told that I missed it by a week and a half yet the auction does not close for almost a week. It is a shame that they have no drive to try and earn a customer.
