Cenote not only serves amazing coffee, we also have a full food menu of fresh offerings made with the best ingredients, including local veggies from many Texas farms, pasture raised eggs from Vital Farms, and bacon from Flying Pig Provisions. In addition, we have a great selection of beer and wine.

Cody Symington and Mary Jenkins are proud to have started a truly local business. It started as a dream to have something on East Cesar Chavez because they live in the neighborhood and longed for a place nearby with great coffee and food. Once they found the building the long journey began.

Surprisingly, one of the best burgers I have had in a long time! I ordered the Bacon Marmalade Burger with sweet potato fries and it left me craving for more. The combination of the ingredients was great but the patty itself was perfectly seasoned and cooked, and then the bun stood on its own as delicious as well. They have some other tasty-looking dishes but I don't know if I can ever risk not choosing a burger here in the future.

For years this coffeehouse was my go-to in Austin for great coffee. The quality of the products they use, the skill of their baristas, and the convenience of their service all are unparalleled. As a former barista of about 7 years myself I know this is not an easy task, and the folks at Cenote do it very consistently. If you want the best for your money, go here. I moved from Austin to Boston recently and they will be sorely missed.

Ordered my favorite breakfast burrito bacon, eggs, cheese & potato. The serving size was enough to share, potatoes tasted old(sorry guys) bacon is on point, and salsa was ok. Little bummed no one wearing mask especially around a baby which ended my visit way faster. Also it's cold in there.

Great dishes, great coffee. Had omelette with feta cheese and some greens. You have to queue and order at the counter, and then receive the drinks from barista and the food comes to the table. The wait was maybe 15 min to order, 5 min to get drinks and then less than 5 to get the food on a Saturday at 12pm. Space outside was nice.

Nice shop, great place for a quiet breakfast. They got coffee and a pretty extensive breakfast menu, so pretty sure you'll find something you like. The portions are also pretty hefty, so you've been warned for a heavy start to the day potentially.

I'm a sucker for migas and Cenote does a great job of them. Corn tortilla strips, eggs, a little pico, avocado on a half corn half flour tortilla is bliss. The salsa does a perfect job of reducing the heft with the acidity. I personally would prefer a full flour tortilla instead of the 50/50 since it doesn't get you there in terms

Great spot!! Walked over from my Hotel to this nice small Coffee shop and really enjoyed it. The food and coffee were amazing! I can say that it’s the best breakfast burrito I’ve had. I ordered the Grande Grilled Breakfast Burrito with Chorizo and it did not disappoint. Definitely check them out

Nice establishment, very inviting. We ordered breakfast food and each plate was more than expected for the price! The staff was friendly and they offer patio seating on two different sides of the restaurant. We will be back.

The perfect neighborhood place to take a break. Happy hours are great and options include burgers on Thursdays. Staff is amazing and they worked through Covid!! Still most of the same crew which is above and beyond any other place on East Austin.

Breakfast/ Brunch delight; looking for good food, nice latte's and even better Mimosas then this is your spot. We were a party 15 who enjoyed the patio while sipping on Mango Mimosas. The staff were super sweet and welcoming. The OMG breakfast and breakfast Taco's are top notch.
When in Austin this should be your breakfast spot!

Awesome neighborhood brunch spot! You order at the counter and sit yourself so no need to make reservations. Staff is friendly and the service is relatively quick. The eggs Benedict were delicious and the iced lavender latte had me wanting more!

Good lunch spot. Had the turkey avocado sandwich and it’s solid. Tons of outdoor seating. Coffee is eh. Empanada is a bit greasy but solid too.

Delicious! Just amazing. There's a million other positive words I could use to describe this place. The service is excellent and the food (those burgers!) is perfect!!
Sat outside and it was great. They have live music. Not the loud, annoying kind I like to listen to in my car. I'm assuming they invite local artists as this young lady seemed to have a totally different style to her music.
Enjoyed our visit very much. Will return.

Service: The food came out quickly which didn't hinder the quality of the dishes. There's handicap parking with a wheelchair friendly entrance.
Food: There are options for vegans & vegetarians. If you're feeling Tex Mex, Breakfast, or Fusion Food they got you.
Space: Ample seating allowing people to stay 6 ft apart. Dog friendly outside and a stage for live shows
Parking: Street parking on Sundays

Omg I can't say enough about this place. The latte is delicious and so is the oatmeal. If you are in the mood for a cute local hang out. I really recommend this place. And did I mention they have gluten free options too.

I am the biggest food critic! But for the first time ever, I have not one critique! So this is actually my first time to leave a review about anything EVER! First things first, vibes are everything! Tucked away and quaint with outdoor seating, very chic! And the service! Best I’ve had in a long time! They actually give off the impression that they genuinely love their jobs and their customers! The cashier made me even more excited to eat there because she was that enthused about what they were serving (but not in a creepy and over the top kind of excited 😆) Now on to the food and drinks, compliments

Stopped here for a late lunch today with a colleague. It was nice that it was not crowded at all, we came in at a great time. Masks are required to enter and while ordering so that was great, and I saw the service staff coming over to wipe all the tables down while we were there.
I had the turkey avocado sandwich with sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries are thinly sliced and had a nice texture to them. A nice balance of crunchy on the outside and potato on the inside. Not soggy like other places.
The southwestern salad my colleague ordered looked amazing as well.
Great spot to meet someone

Everything about my visit to Cenote was underwhelming.
The service was alright. The person behind the counter wasn't super engaging or friendly. Seemed very uninterested.
The food was par. I ordered the chilaquiles. It was a large portion of food. But everything tasted just so-so. Not memorable or special in anyway.
The restaurant does have a nice, quirky vibe with two outdoor eating spaces. A lot of the tables inside and outside needed to be cleaned, but the location is big enough that there were still clean, empty tables. Wifi was spotty outside.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend. I definitely

Oh man, this place is fantastic! I met a friend there the other day. Nice and spaced out...ya know, for the COVIDs. I ordered a Cesar salad, but decided to make it spinach instead of kale (what it came with) and then topped it with chicken. I won't lie, it was tasty, but a little pricey. I had a canned water and the whole thing was $17.50, throw in a tip in the jar and I lost a $20 out of it. But, I know their ingredients were super fresh and tasty, so it's not the end of the world, just can't be going with super regularity. My friend had fish tacos and she said they were

I drove by Cenote a couple of times and was always curious to see what they we're about. I went on a whim and tried their burger of the month and hibiscus tea. I usually like sweet tea but the lady I ordered from was nice enough to add syrup to it to sweeten it. The burger was pretty big and it came with sweet potato fries. I literally finished it in one gulp because it was that good! 10/10 The wait also was short, and they got everything I asked for in the order. Customer service was very attentive too. I am still curious to try their coffee options so I shall be back! Must try!

I really love it when I get to give a glowing review like this. From the first step through the door, the staff was wonderfully friendly, helpful, and accommodating. It was my first trip there so I wasn't familiar with the menu offerings. Everyone was exceptionally sweet and pleasant. My latte was prepared to absolute perfection and much more quickly than I would have expected. Likewise with the chilaquiles I ordered. They were brought out to me long before I would have expected them and were absolutely prepared to perfection. I split off some of the Chile basted chips, because it was just

I love Cenote!! Their food is amazing and at a good price. My favorite apps are the root vegetables and beet fries.
For entrees, my favorites BY FAR are the salmon salad and the hearts on fire salad with salmon added with the cilantro lime dressing on the side. To die for. The cobb salad is also delish, which I sub chicken for the turkey.
The have an outdoor patio and I feel safe visiting during COVID.

First experience I ordered delivery. My burger was cold and hard and the bread was too hard to eat. My fries were cold too.

Second experience: Meh. I ordered the steak sandwich, salad, fries, and soup of the day. The steak was extremely over salted. It was also covered in this disgusting yellow mustard. Not good at all. If I give them another shot, I'll keep my order to a simple sandwich or maybe try their breakfast. I want to like them so much but strike two.
