Services
Phoenix Gymnastics Academy was established in 1982. Over the past 36 years, we have become known as one of the top gymnastics programs in Arizona. The owners, Mike and Donna Payne, are both highly respected coaches in the gymnastics community. Mike was a collegiate level gymnast from the Mid-West, and moved to Arizona in 1980.
Young children need physical activity to stimulate their physical & mental development. This class is a Movement Education & Motor Skill development type of class where we use basic gymnastics activities taught in a circuit format. Parents assist their child in the class. This class is for boys and girls ages 18 months - 3 years old.
Classes for girls ages 6 and up. Level 2 is for girls who have passes the required skills on all events from Level 1. Classes are limited to 8 girls per instructor. Each class is 1 Hr. Level 3 is for girls who have passes the required skills on all events from Level 2. Classes are limited to 8 girls per instructor.
The Inter-Team program is an In-House competitive program for students enrolled in our level 3 and 4 girl's classes. Inter-Team athletes will take part in a series of competitions in which the students perform the USA Gymnastics routines, are judged by USAG certified judges, and receive medals/achievement awards based on their performance.
For questions about our gymnastics academy, classes, parties, or camps, please contact us for more information! Your child will progress at a faster rate when they develop more strength and perform their skills more often. To do this safely, we receommend adding additional classes. The best thing to do at home is focus on feeding your child well-balanced/nutrtional meals and ensuring that they are getting adequate sleep and water.

Was really disappointed. Met by a rude, robotic clerk. There was no where to sit. I was told I would need to leave and watch on the zoom. My daughter is 6. It was our first day. That is unacceptable. I asked to get my daughter. The lady said, snippily, ok. Got her and we left. Not one person said hello, welcome, good bye, sorry.... nothing. You get the military feeling in there. Kids are still forced to wear masks. Not my kind of place. They don't seem to really care about anything but robotic protocols of all the ways you can't make up a class or get any money back. Instead they should focus on

I had a tough time during the parent tot class and when I told the instructor she laughed at me. At the end of the class I was crying and trying to leave and told the teacher I had had a hard time, she turned around and laughed and announced to everyone “we all had to go through it!!” such an embarrassing experience.
I don’t think laughing at anybody is an appropriate response at all. If it is so easy to laugh at a struggling parent, how do they treat their students when parents aren’t allowed to supervise or be near?
I was going to do the trial class with them again with a different

Parking can be a nightmare, there usually aren't any seats to watch your child, even if I do get a seat I can't see me daughter because her class is in the far bottom corner so I have to watch her on a TV monitor and stand up the whole time. They really need to expand the office and viewing areas. It's also usually pretty hot inside. Once class gets out its a madhouse of parents and children trying to get in and out, people bumping into each other, knocking clothing off racks, if you're at all claustrophobic it will be tough for you! Some coaches are better and more patient than others. I will

Since day one my daughter and I have been happy with the gymnastics program here at Phoenix Gymnastics & Dance Academy. The prices are extremely reasonable and I love the fact that they offer one free trial class to begin with. The entire staff are always helpful and friendly, and the gym is beautiful. Always kept very nice, neat, and organized. I would definitely recommend this place 100%.

Fantastic gym! Tons of equipment, very well maintained. I have 2 kids in classes here and love it. The employees are all very professional, helpful, and patient. (Just wish there was a 3-4 year-old dance class in the mornings and more parking during the busy afternoon classes)
