Services
All the required new patient forms you will need for your first visit are available online to print, right here on our website. Written Prescriptions and Authorizations for physical therapy are required for all Tufts Health Plans, BCBS HMO plans, BCBS Medicare Advantage HMO plans, and United Healthcare Medicare Advantage POS/HMO plans.

During your first visit, a member from our team of physical therapists will focus a full hour on assessing your needs, diagnosing your pain, listening carefully to your concerns, and discussing a plan to implement effective treatment.

Specialized Physical Therapy in North Reading, MA was founded in 2012 by Dr. Amy Spencer and her husband, Steve Spencer, with one goal in mind: Premium Physical Therapy. At our private clinic we accomplish life-changing results with hands-on treatment, one-to-one care, doctoral trained therapists from start to finish, private rooms, and a quiet and peaceful clinic setting.

Jessica is very knowledgeable and explains in detail (sometimes with diagrams) what the problem is and her approach to solving it. She listens to the patient when they have hit roadblocks with more standard therapies, and comes up with thoughtful solutions so that they can make progress. I've brought 2 of my children in with complex, difficult medical histories. One had refused to go to the initial visit at first because "we tried everything" and they had given up on PT. They were sufficiently impressed by the consultation and feel that they now have a promising treatment plan. We're very happy

I was barely able to walk or put my shoes on a couple of weeks ago. After just 3 sessions with Dr. Jess I can confidently say I am on the road to recovery. Dr. Amy Spencer is truly wonderful. I am a tennis player and had my knee injury. I couldn't play tennis and can bare walk to her clinic. Dr. Spencer is very thorough and accurate to check my problem. After my first treatment with Dr. Spencer, I felt much better and after few treatments I am getting back to normal and started to play tennis again. Thank you so much Dr. Spencer and you saved my life. Really appreciate it.
