A: Yes, all of our owners are provided their assigned property manager's contact information. A: Once we complete the necessary paperwork and obtain access to the property and any current lease contracts, we can start as soon as needed. A: At Home Properties retains the security deposit in a trust account according to the Texas Property Code.
An application, application fee, Property Hold Agreement and the security deposit are all required to place a property on hold. A: Approval must be obtained from the property manager. Once the pet is approved, you will be required to complete a Pet Agreement and pay the pet deposit prior to the pet being permitted on the property.
If it is an emergency that requires immediate attention, please call 979-696-5357. Please be sure to note if you do NOT want the key released to your property. Otherwise, the vendors will check out the key at our office and proceed with repair assessment. By submitting a request for maintenance you understand that if you do not authorize a release of a key to a vendor, you will need to be available to give the vendor access to the property.

I’ve lived in a townhome on San Pedro dr managed by At Home for six months, and they still haven’t fixed the hole in the floor(!! Seriously! There is a huge hole in the living room floor!) left by previous tenets, even though they promised to fix it as part of the lease. There are multiple issues with the apartment that they still haven’t fixed, even after months of nagging. Find somewhere else to live as a renter, and as a property owner, find a different managing company! It is ridiculous that I am halfway through my lease and they still haven’t bothered to fix the floor per the move

One of the best leasing companies I’ve rented from! Two highlights of my At Home experience that rarely happen 1) They fixed my fence within a week aaaand 2) I got my deposit back. Some of their vendors are slow movers, but as long as I followed-up Melissa got it taken care of it.

I lived at a Duplex Managed by At Home Properties for 3 years. Aside from the repeated issues we have had with neighbors that went unresolved, our main issue happened upon moving out. We were notified by mail that $775 was deducted from our Deposit for "cleaning, bulbs, ac filter, and carpet repair". We replaced blubs frequently and even left extras when we moved out. We changed the AC filter the same month that we moved out. The only picture At Home Properties gave regarding to "cleaning" was a picture of the top of the fridge (after we complained to the BBB). And the only carpet damage shown

Wish there was a ZERO star selection. Don't have much experience with renting but due to work I rented a place in Bryan, unfortunately I used at home properties, worst decision. they find everyway possible to tie you into a lease for longer. Even if you think you have a good understanding and have read your whole lease agreement you probably need to let a lawyer review it lol (sad but true bc they find a way to get you on the wording). Also if THEIR website does not work properly for payments you are held accountable for the lovely late fees. (they cant control when their own website malfunctions

BEWARE YOUR DEPOSIT
We live in the house for 5 and here are the problems we faced.
Our AC broke multiple times and sometimes it takes 5 days to fix it in a hot summer
Our microwave broke a couple of times. After fixing or replacing for a couple of times, they stop doing that. For more than 2 years we use our microwave.
We live there for more than 5 years so some things would be overused or broken. After we left, they charge almost $800 for them. We hire a professional to clean the house, but they said the clean the house after we left

We have been renting a duplex through At Home Properties for 5 years. We are pretty low maintenance tenants, but that changed when we found out we were expecting twins. Our AC went out on a Saturday morning and by early Saturday afternoon someone was out here to fix the problem. I really appreciate the responsiveness to this issue on a weekend!

Rent is a great price but when I moved in they were fixing a few things and told me they would fix said objects after I moved in and they have never came in once. I've been living there since October 2020 and it is now the end of May. My windows also broke during the hail storm and I've had a request in to vet my windows fixed since April 10th and have yet to have them fixed. Anyone can easily come in through my window effortlessly. I've called and no one would ever answer of reply back to me. Currently in the process of being a tenant and all I can say is that Brad from at home has been a big help. He answers any call or text I might have about the application process or home and was extremely professional. Melissa was also very professional and responded to my viewing request in less than 24 hours plus was quick to respond when scheduling a viewing. I’m hopeful to be able to rent through them on this up and coming lease term as they seem like a great group of professionals. They get things done in a timely manner and that is greatly appreciated!

We were tenants of At Home Properties from 2014-2020 and must say they are great! We rented two different properties with them and only moved because we finally purchased our very first home!! They were always very professional, kind and respectful with us. In fact, when we first moved to College Station the owner went out of her way to help us get leased. She even gave my daughter a beautiful purple glass heart she had been eyeing on her desk and my daughter still has it. Sweet! I'm very thankful to have At Home Properties manage my apt. in the flesh.  I thought my a/c was going out and I somehow got the boss of the old management's a/c guys on the phone.  He said there may not be a problem, but I'm sending a technician anyway.  He got halfway in my living room and said there ain't nothing wrong and left.  The previous management took out $100 for that from my prepaid rent without my knowledge causing my rent to be late 2 weeks later.  Then they charged me another $50 for a late fee.  They just told me I should have read the details of the rental agreement and

If you are wondering if the poor reviews on Yelp, Facebook, Google are accurate, I am hear to scream from the mountain tops....Yes! This is a poorly managed and shady company, which is ironic, because their business is to manage other people's properties.

I will highlight some of our issues throughout our stay.

- They charged both my wife and I $50 a piece to apply for lease. We were looking at several places during this time period and each one offered to waive the one application fee, not two for a married couple.

- The agent went to show us another series of properties, but she forgot

I was a Realtor in College Station for over 25 years. I knew which Property Management companies provided great service to Home owners. In 1998 I selected At Home Property Management to manage our property. I did not what to do this myself for many reasons. We have been so pleased with the service we have received from Melissa and Brad Clinton, the owners. Our Property Manager, Jana Lane is the best I have ever worked with. She has done an outstanding job. In the end, we know that having our property managed by ATPM has saved money. They have a list of stellar vendors to work on any maintenance

I understand companies aren't perfect but this was one of the most ridiculous experience I've ever had while renting. Putting in multiple maintenance requests, not being answered for weeks, workers banging on the roof at 6am on a Saturday without warning AND they used OUR electricity to fix the roof then proceeded to charge US for THEIR work on THEIR house. Maintenance men telling us that the oven wasn't really broken then it would not work the next day?! I've been a responsible tenant (Note: I'm the tenant born without arms) under AtHome for two years and have had my share of normal frustrations with them during my time. This last week I made a clerical error and misread my move out date by two days. So, on the day after our lease officially ended I believed I still had a day left to finish moving out and clean. This company completely mismanaged our house. The employee in charge of our property changed multiple times without notice as to who is now responsible for answering questions (not like any of them answered our questions anyway). I called for clarity on multiple aspects of the contract or other issues, and, on every occasions, was met with a condensing response. Every single person that I talked to was rude and entirely unhelpful, which ended up costing us money in the end. I hired Lynn and her company At Home in 2016 to manage a large apartment building in College Station. When I first spoke with her she was a great salesperson promising to work hard and help lease up the vacant units.

During the first 90 days she worked hard getting rid of bad tenants and marketing the vacant units. Shortly thereafter her services dissappeared. I kept asking why the vacant units were not leasing. Make sure to document EVERYTHING related to the property you're renting. When it comes time to receive your deposit they will take out as much in fees as possible. My family had spent literally a whole day cleaning out my unit, yet we were still charged $160 to be taken out of our deposit. When we called to speak to Bradley Clinton he could do nothing but grumble and let out a bunch of "uhhh"s before finally saying it was because of a dirty ceiling fan. I've lived with the company for 3 years, and would highly recommend. Our property manager was Brad, he is a good guy and would always respond to our phone calls/texts in a timely manner.

One time we called in a maintenance request for the air and the AC company was there within five minutes.

At Home is very fair with returning their deposit. We cleaned well and received 100% of our deposit back. :)

If you want a property worth your money, try this company. I won't go to any other company after renting from At Home for 3 years. A washer/dryer is included in almost every unit, most units are duplexes with a yard. I like not worrying about neighbors above or below as much as with traditional apartments. My favorite realtor is Christian - he worked with us extensively to find an apartment that fit our budget and needs. I haven't had many issues with At Home, and those I have had, were resolved eventually. They're also one of the only companies in CS with leniancy toward multiple

Extremely rude! Very unprofessional! Or maybe just entirely incompetant. These people over charged us for a deposit to the tune of $950. Demanded proof that it was paid. When evidence was produced, it took months and many confrontational encounters to be reimbursed. Even that encounter was met with spite and condesention.

In addition, this treatment was given to an 84 year old disabled veteran.

What makes me sad about this review is the home owner is AWESOME. But, AHP is a horrible leasing agency to deal with. In the 3 years I've rented with them, I've had 4 rental managers, and I only find out that I have a new one when I call to talk to my rental manager and they no longer work there. And that's about the best communication I get from them. When I try to reach my rental manager, it's 1 out of 10 times that I actually get through to them, and when I leave a message, it's rare I get a call back.

Forget putting in a work order with AHP. The only time I got timely

WORST COMPANY EVER. they are so unprofessional, the people have 0 common sense. I pay 575 for a 2 bedroom that in not a good location and is not nice and they are upping the rent. Go anywhere else but here. Then when we try to do things ourselves they don't have their facts straight. AWFUL

My husband and I rented with At Home PM for three years. When we first came to College Station to look for a home to rent, the staff was very polite and courteous towards us and Lynn, the broker, was fantastic. They helped us to find a good sized property that had a good sized yard for our dogs too. We paid $800 in pet deposit and $900 in regular security deposit (which was a full months rent). Air conditioning went out every couple months, long waits for repair. Other maintenance extremely shoddy and long delays. Moving out was a huge relief even though I'll never see my deposit again.

I am renting a big size property with them. Staff/owners don't exhibit professionalism. Their attitude towards individual renters is not good because they apparently manage thousands of properties.

I think they don't want to perform any maintenance. They are very slow in responding to requests maybe because they are understaffed. I don't think they have maintenance staff on board. They outsource. I don't expect any help from them in fixing urgent issues.

They do send out holiday greeting cards. My holidays would be better if they would fix the issues at my place.

They have been showing our property for the last five months. Several times they have shown up completely unannounced. We've had days where they did three separate showings at three separate times. They are also now showing on Sundays even though they are not even working on Sundays. We've asked for them to not come at certain times, like my daughters nap times, and this has been completely ignored.
We've had them give our home key out to random groups without letting us know. This wouldn't be as big of a deal if I hadn't found my neighbors home key in our parking

Probably the best PM company in CS...very professional staff, respectful, well educated, very available...the property managers take a personal interest in the properties they manage...they know how to deal with tenants and landlords, and do so with a professional demeanor that you can only admire !

Believe you me, I have used the services of 3-4 PM companies in CS/Bryan, and At Home is hands down "the best"...dont waste your time going to anyone else...if you are a tenant, they will find you a property, and if you are a landlord, they will take good care of it for you...
